Biden responds with bizarre display of strength after bike fall – Trump weighs in, leads meme blitz

Try as he might to act like an invulnerable tough guy, President Joe Biden simply can’t stop himself from being the butt of every joke — particularly jokes told by his predecessor, former President Donald Trump.

As previously reported, early Saturday morning the president made international headlines by losing his balance while on his bike and crashing to the ground like a felled 79-year-old oak tree.

Despite the president’s age and his history of falling, the White House tried to play it off afterward by declaring in a statement that he was just fine.

“[H]is foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting and he is fine. No medical attention is needed. The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family,” a White House official said.

When pressed later that afternoon about his condition, the president tried to play it off as well by hopping up and down repeatedly to prove to reporters that he was just fine.

The “jig,” as some are calling it, was performed after a reporter asked, “Mr. President, how are you feeling?”

The reporter pressed the president on his health condition as he exited an evening church service.

Watch:

The president may be fine physically, perhaps, but reputationally, he’s got problems. Because besides prompting international headlines, the fall heard across the world also triggered an avalanche of scorching memes, including one from Trump.

Watch:

His eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., got in on the action as well.

Many others also got in on it.

Look:

The president has essentially become the butt of every joke, and no amount of tough guy antics like hopping up and down like a kangaroo will fix this.

Trump for his part did later show a little love by wishing the president well.

“I hope he has recovered, because, as you know, he fell off his bicycle today,” he said while speaking during an event that evening in Memphis.

Ironically, his sincere remark triggered laughter, prompting him to briefly chide the audience: “No, I’m serious. I hope he’s OK. He fell off a bicycle,” he said.

“I make this pledge to you today: I will never ever ride a bicycle,” he then quipped more in self-mockery than in an attack on Biden.

“No, but we do hope that Biden’s OK because that was a hard fall — that was scary. That was hard. Did anybody see it? Well, we wish him well,” he added.

Biden’s latest fall is one of many, many, many falls.

About a month ago, he stumbled again while boarding Air Force One.

Watch:

A year earlier in March of 2021, he made international headlines when he stumbled three times in a row while boarding Air Force One.

Watch:

Following the president’s triple-stumble, former senior Trump administration official Stephen Miller warned that these gaffes and stumbles pose a national security threat to the United States.

Speaking on Fox News, he explained that America’s adversaries, from Russia to China, are watching all this.

They’re seeing “the president of our country, who’s unable to get through even a softball interview without a cheat sheet, who falls down not once, not twice, but three times going up a flight of stairs,” Miller said.

But he cautioned that he wasn’t saying this to make fun of Biden or laugh at his expense. He was saying it because it really is a problem when you have the president of the United States slipping and falling three times while trying to board Air Force One.

“It’s sad to watch. I take no pleasure in it. … This isn’t to be funny. This is extremely serious,” he said.
