DNC Chair called out for failing to vote in his own state’s primary: ‘Literally had one job and didn’t do it’

Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison was called on the carpet by talk show host Karen Hunter this week for his inability to follow his own advice to voters.

After passionately arguing that the left “can’t take time off,” Harrison was asked if he voted early in the Palmetto State primary that was held on June 14.

“Well, South Carolina is—Karen, this is the one thing,” he responded sheepishly. “I was supposed to get back home to South Carolina today to vote.”

“Wait! Hold on,” she said with shock in her voice. “The DNC did not—the DNC—the head of the DNC did not vote in his own state today?”

“Well, it’s because I couldn’t,” he said.

“See, that’s—that’s how this happens you all,” the “Karen Hunter Show” host replied. “When 20, 30 million people sit home because they think they’re going to be able to vote and there’s all this early voting, there’s early voting.”

Then she admonished the top party official: “There was early voting in South Carolina, Jaime Harrison.”

Watch as Harrison undermined his own work:

It turns out the Democrat has something in common with the Georgia Republican Party: Neither one can “think of a single reason to vote for Democrats.”

The admission must have been all the more painful when it was pointed out to him that he wasn’t following his own advice to urge people to vote after one person posted a screenshot of a Jan 10 tweet encouraging people to register and be ready to vote.

Others were baffled that he failed to vote even in light of the Election Integrity Law that South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster signed last May that gave access to early voting in the state.

But the best reaction was provided by a third panelist on the show who raised his eyebrows so high in response to the Democrat’s response that they almost flew off his face.
