Ex-Bernie Sanders spox praises Fox News, says network ‘more inclined’ to feature diverse viewpoints

Briahna Joy Gray who served as the press secretary for twice-failed presidential candidate Bernie Sanders during his doomed 2020 campaign gave some love to Fox News which she praised for being more open to a diverse selection of viewpoints than either MSNBC or CNN, the two top liberal cable television networks, remarks that aren’t likely to sit well with the leftist thought police.

During Thursday’s edition of “Rising” on Hill TV, the hosts discussed recent cable rankings showing that Fox News is absolutely clobbering its competitors, including 1:00 a.m. reruns of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” topping CNN’s “Don Lemon Tonight” in its prime time slot, a sign that the appeal of leftist propaganda is waning as the country circles the drain under one-party Democrat rule.

Host Kim Iversen put the numbers in perspective, saying, “I mean, this is I think boding really poorly for Democrats in general, not just… I mean I think this is like showing the midterms are gonna be a disaster and probably 2024.”

Gray then said that politics aside, the leftist networks leave much to be desired in terms of content.

“I will say, the liberal channels are not as engaging and as someone who does independent media, who’s always trying to figure out what generates clicks, what engages people, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that there is absolutely no ideological diversity on those liberal networks,” Gray said.

“Fox News is more inclined to have a leftist on than MSNBC and CNN,” she said. “It usually has a liberal on its panels that I think is representative of what liberalism is, for better or for worse as opposed to the CNN, MSNBC shows, which tend to have a Never Trump Republican, which is just this anomalous thing, which is basically just a neoliberal Democrat at this point, and you don’t get the kind of spice and engagement that you get when you watch Fox News.”

Later in the segment, the left-leaning Iversen begrudgingly gave props to Fox News’ Carlson, “I like watching Tucker Carlson and I watch him all the time, he’s actually if I had to choose which show, that’s the one I would watch.”

“I used to hate Tucker Carlson,” she said. “I mean, honestly hate the guy, but I’ve grown to appreciate him. I don’t agree with him on a lot of stuff, like the immigration stuff, we definitely don’t agree on but he’s so anti-establishment, at least that’s the show he produces that I think a lot of people on the right and the left appreciate that anti-establishment viewpoint and that’s what CNN is missing.”

“That’s exactly right,” Gray said. “When you said it earlier that the liberal channels have failed to read the room and looking to the Women’s March, the Women’s March was not the movement of the era, the movement of the era was I’m sorry, the Bernie Sanders in 2016 that got rebooted in 2020.”

“You have a solid 30 percent of the Democratic Party that steadfastly is supporting a more populist brand of politics. That’s about the same number that exists on the right, Republicans aren’t all populist right now but the most fiery, energetic part of the party is and Tucker Carlson and a lot of these conservative shows cater to that — I would argue in bad faith — but cater to this kind of populist verve.”

MSNBC, CNN and the rest of the water carriers for the fully radicalized Democratic Party and their Never Trump cohorts are paying the price for only preaching to the choir and that choir has rapidly shrunk. If Nancy Pelosi’s Select Committee’s prime time extravaganza bombs later this week, it will be another nail in the coffin for the purveyors of party propaganda.
