NRA targeted by major email marketing firm as pushback builds: report

Project Veritas has released a new video in which it is revealed the cloud-based software company Salesforce plans to “end [its] customer relationship” with the National Rifle Association in what is yet another misguided, knee-jerk political reaction in the aftermath of a national tragedy — namely, the recent elementary school massacre in Uvalde, Texas.

In an email obtained by Project Veritas, Senior Director Ray Shipley appealed to employees to help “stop this cycle of unimaginable violence” by ending “our customer relationship with the National Rifle Association.”

“For me, that is having Salesforce end our customer relationship with the National Rifle Association,” Shipley said in the e-mail. He then hyperlinked to a letter drafted by Salesforce leadership which calls for the termination of the company’s contract with the NRA. “My ask to you is that you co-sign this letter,” he wrote.

According to Project Veritas, on May 26th, the San Francisco Gate ran a story with the misleading headline, “Thousands of workers at Salesforce, San Francisco’s biggest employer, demand company stop working with NRA.”

In February, the non-profit journalism enterprise published a leaked video in which Bret Taylor, Salesforce’s President and Chief Operating Officer, said the events of Jan. 6 forced the company to reassess how they want to conduct business going forward.

“Since the events of the 6th [of January], I think one of the things that really impacts Salesforce is the national conversation about the role of technology in inciting that mob, disseminating misinformation and fomenting extremism,” Taylor said.

“What we’ve done in light of the events of Jan. 6 is recognize a much broader range of messages have the potential to incite politically motivated violence,” he said.

Taylor made it a point to mention Salesforce’s contract with the Republican National Committee, which likely came as a surprise to no one.

“We’ve engaged with the RNC to communicate that no messages on behalf of President Trump and no messages questioning the validity or integrity of the election are allowed on our platform under the guidelines that they may incite violence given the escalated conditions in the United States right now,” he said.

“We’re looking across our customer base to make sure our technology is not being used by businesses or platforms that are inciting political violence,” he said.

In the same internal meeting, Salesforce’s Executive Vice President of Government Affairs, Eric Loeb, said the platform would specifically target politicians who objected to Joe Biden’s presidential certification.

“We are pausing all PAC contributions…the pause or suspension certainly includes the suspension of any contributions to members of Congress that voted to object to the [presidential election] certification,” Loeb said.

The San Francisco-based Salesforce also ended its working relationship with Project Veritas earlier this year, coloring it as a “business decision.”

Project Veritas’ new Chief Technology Officer, Michael Schaefer, consistently attempted to collaborate with Salesforce but was ignored until the company sent an email announcing its intention to end any business dealings with Project Veritas.

“I don’t understand what Salesforce’s ‘business decision’ is based on. We are a customer that pays like clockwork and has required very little in return for our loyalty. We have to wonder if we were cut off because we caught some Big Tech executives telling the truth recently and exposed that truth to the public,” Schaefer said.

  1. It is obvious that the mainstream media is doing its job (destroying the conservative, anti socialist movement) well. People have been lead to believe that the NRA condones the misuse of firearms. This is a blatant lie but the media, who propagates this lie, cannot be held liable for it. The NRA does support a few things I do not (like legalizing sound suppressers) but it also supports safe and responsible gun ownership. It offers some of the best firearms safety training around. It abhors the misuse of firearms. But, of course, the majority of Americans, who have been taught to accept the media’s claims without question, have no idea what the NRA does, nor really stands for. It is a shame that the media can get away with outright deception to further their Socials, one world government, agenda and not be held liable for their lies and deception which hurt individuals and organizations which oppose their agenda.

  2. So when things they don’t believe come true and they will, I hope they can be sued, for taking sides and slandering people who hold the truth!!!!

  3. For the left, any excuse will do, to justify their attempts to cancel the 1st, 2nd, and, 4th Amendments, along with all of the others, afterwards. If this doesn`t make the left traitors, what does?

  4. Well, if Salesforce wants to lose revenue based on politics, let them. I don’t know if I get anything from them, but if so, well, obviously I either don’t read it or I don’t need what the email is selling.

    1. If Salesforce is a corporation with shareholders they have a legal judiciary duty to work on behalf of the stockholders. The BOD can get fired over this move.
