Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) grilled a Democrat witness named Aimee Arrambide, who is the executive director of the abortion-rights nonprofit Avow Texas, on Wednesday in front of the House Judiciary Committee on abortion rights, asking her point-blank whether men can have babies and abortions.
Bishop asked her to define what “a woman is.”
Arrambide replied, “I believe that everyone can identify for themselves.”
“Do you believe that men can become pregnant and have abortions?” Bishop asked her.
“Yes,” Arrambide responded.

Just before that exchange, Bishop got into it with Dr. Yashica Robinson, a physician who testified before the committee.
“Dr. Robinson, I noticed in your written testimony you said that you use she/her pronouns. You’re a medical doctor – what is a woman?” Bishop queried the leftist doctor who is an OBGYN and a board member of Physicians for Reproductive Health.
“I think it’s important that we educate people like you about why we’re doing the things that we do,” Robinson responded condescendingly to Bishop. “And so the reason that I use she and her pronouns is because I understand that there are people who become pregnant that may not identify that way. And I think it is discriminatory to speak to people or to call them in such a way as they desire not to be called.”
“Are you going to answer my question? Can you answer the question, what’s a woman?” he pressed.
“I’m a woman, and I will ask you which pronouns do you use?” Robinson clapped back. “If you tell me that you use she and her pronouns … I’m going to respect you for how you want me to address you.”
“So you gave me an example of a woman, you say that you are a woman, can you tell me otherwise what a woman is?” Bishop asked putting her on the spot for the definition of a woman.
“Yes, I’m telling you, I’m a woman,” Robinson answered.
“Is that as comprehensive a definition as you can give me?” Bishop asked Robinson.
“That’s as comprehensive a definition as I will give you today,” she snapped. “Because I think that it’s important that we focus on what we’re here for, and it’s to talk about access to abortion.”
“So you’re not interested in answering the question that I asked unless it’s part of a message you want to deliver…” Bishop tersely concluded.
The hearing on Wednesday was titled, “Revoking your Rights.” It was meant to highlight the left’s perceived threat to abortion rights following the leak of a draft opinion from the Supreme Court that indicates it is on the brink of overturning the landmark abortion case Roe vs. Wade.
The hearing, opened by Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), included testimonies from Arrambide; Robinson; Americans United for Life CEO and President Catherine Glenn Foster; and a law professor from the University of California, Irvine, Michele Bratcher Goodwin.
According to Fox News, there is no data that definitively shows how many individuals who identify as transgender have given birth in the United States on a yearly basis.
The word “mothers” has been officially replaced by the term “birthing people” in the 2022 fiscal year budget thanks to President Joe Biden. Many conservatives contend that the move is in effect canceling actual mothers. Democrats have been working hard to change the terminology when it comes to giving birth to children, aggressively blurring gender lines.
Fox News reported:
Fox News Digital reached out to the Department of Health and Human Services by both phone and email inquiring if there is any data on transgender pregnancies and births, but did not receive any replies. Fox News Digital also reached out to the nine largest hospitals and hospital systems in the U.S. for a rough estimate, but only heard back from one hospital representative who said Providence Health does not “have this data available to share.”
The World Professional Association for Transgender Health also did not respond to a request for comment on such data. WPATH is an international nonprofit organization that has set ‘Standards of Care’ for health professionals working with transgender people that has been endorsed by multiple medical organizations.
Though there aren’t solid numbers indicating how many transgender individuals have given birth in the U.S. each year, a Rutgers University study estimated in 2019 “that unintended pregnancies occur in up to 30% of transgender men.”
“The onslaught of anti-transgender state laws attacking you and your families is simply wrong,” Biden proclaimed in a video on Transgender Day of Visibility in March. “This administration is standing up for you against all these hateful bills. And we’re committed to advancing transgender equality in the classroom, on the playing field, at work, in our military, and our housing and healthcare systems.”

She’s splitting hairs. When she says men can get pregnant and have abortions, she’s insisting a female who identifies as a man……is a man. Therefore “his” female parts can conceive.
I guess we need to ask if a person carries sperm and not ovaries, can they get pregnant and have an abortion?

This dialog obviously calls into question the validity of Robinson’s supposed intellect, education, and qualifications as a scientist and a doctor.

Wow, I grew up with talking mice, a talking horse, and other anthropomorphisms, but never had an issue with knowing that they were not “reality” and… also was VERY sure what sexes they were.
Now, these “adults” – supposedly educated and “in charge” to some degree – are telling us “scientific impossibilities” are real, that fantasizing about being a male/female/whatever or marying a cat/tree/rubber doll is just fine because it’s “your reality”, whatever you want it to be.

Thats when the Reps should be saying to them PROVE IT FOR US! They never do this and it pisses me off. they let the idiots off every time in ever investigation!!! That is weakness at its best. When dems go before Congress to testify , there seems to be an extreme lack of candor on their part every single time. Nothing more than word games to skirt the issue and change the question. She couldnt identify a woman and calls herself a doctor. She needs to go back to biology class. These people are either in total denial or their just plain stupid. P.S. Ive never seen a pregnant male in the Human Species. Men just dont have the right plumbing. Geeez. Maybe Ishould have a PHD. behind my name.
