President Joe Biden and several top government officials have been sued for their role in the censorship of free speech as the attorney generals of two states are pursuing legal action against the administration, alleging that they “pressured and colluded” with tech companies to suppress information on Hunter Biden’s laptop, COVID and security issues with the vote-by-mail scheme that hugely benefited Democrats in the 2020 elections.

In a story first reported by Fox News, the lawsuit against Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, outgoing White House press secretary Jen Psaki, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and others was filed on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.

The lawsuit alleges that Biden and his top officials colluded with the tech giants “under the guise of combating misinformation” as a pretense to silence critics and promote censorship by using the “public-private partnership” as the regime’s muscle.

Biden and his crew have engaged in “one of its greatest assaults by federal government officials in the Nation’s history,” as officials “coerced, threatened, and pressured social media platforms to censor disfavored speakers and viewpoints by using threats of adverse government action,” according to the 86-page filing.

Also named in the lawsuit are HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and Biden’s newly-minted commissar of the Disinformation Governance Board, rabidly partisan Tik-Tok star Nina Jankowicz.

Attorney General Schmitt announced the legal action via Twitter on Thursday.

“Missouri and Louisiana just filed suit against Joe Biden, Jen Psaki, Dr. Fauci, and other top-ranking officials for allegedly colluding with social media companies to suppress freedom of speech under the guise of combating ‘misinformation,’” he wrote.

In another tweet along with a link to the court filing, “Schmitt added, The lawsuit, filed today, alleges that the Biden Administration colluded with and pressured social media giants Meta, Twitter, and Youtube to suppress and censor free speech on topics like the Hunter Biden laptop story, the Lab Leak Theory, and more.”

Missouri’s top legal official went on to give a series of examples including Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, the explosive contents of which could have affected the 2020 election had it not been suppressed by the media and Silicon Valley.

Schmitt also brought up how dissenting voices on COVID were censored at the behest of Dr. Fauci.

“Beginning in February 2020, Facebook and other social media platforms began aggressively censoring speech about the Lab Leak Theory, and Facebook updated its content moderation on COVID-19 to include ‘false’ and ‘debunked’ claims that COVID-19 was man-made or manufactured,” he wrote.

He added, “According to the lawsuit, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who as director of the NIAID funded ‘gain of function’ research, was exchanging emails with Mark Zuckerberg regarding ‘public messaging and the dissemination of COVID-19 information on social-media.’”

“In a March 15, 2020 email, Zuckerberg proposed to coordinate with Fauci to ‘make sure people can get authoritative information from reliable sources’ and proposed including a video message from Fauci because, ‘people trust and want to hear from experts,'” AG Schmitt noted. “Only after major media outlets confirmed that COVID-19 escaping from a lab is a feasible possibility did Facebook and others stop censoring speech related to the Lab Leak Theory. Even the WSJ writes, ‘Facebook acted in lockstep with the government.'”

In additional tweets making his case, Schmitt posted damning video clips of Psaki openly admitting that the administration was in ‘regular touch’ with the social media platforms to censor voices that were counter to the official narrative.

Schmitt’s counterpart in the Bayou State also took to Twitter to announce the lawsuit.

“Biden has been colluding with #BigTech to censor free speech and propagandize the masses. We’re fighting back to ensure the #RuleOfLaw and to prevent the government from unconstitutional banning, chilling, and stifling of speech!” Attorney General Jeff Landry of Louisiana wrote.

Schmitt appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” following the filing of the lawsuit where he told the host, “These folks are nuts, they’re intent on suppressing speech that they don’t like, calling it disinformation, misinformation, so we’re filing a lawsuit.”

“The reality is, individuals have a right to speak their mind, this is at the core of the American experiment, this a God-given right, government’s there to protect those rights, not to tell you what you can say and when you can say it,” he said. “So this lawsuit, it’s a landmark lawsuit, we’re going directly after the collusion, they’re working together to suppress speech and we’re fighting back.”
