New York Attorney General Letitia James revealed her personal story to a reported group of thousands protesting the impending SCOTUS decision on Roe v. Wade, that she argued was supported by what “my god teaches me.”
The demonstration in downtown Manhattan’s Foley Square was in response to Justice Samuel Alito’s leaked majority draft opinion on the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that would, if formally submitted, overturn the 1973 ruling of Roe v. Wade. When James, 63, stood before the crowd that was chanting slogans and waving signs that read “Abort the patriarchy” and “‘God Squad’ Bigots Go To Hell,” she said there’s something “I want all of you to know.”
“As a former City Council member, many moons ago,” she began harkening back to sometime around 2003 when she first took office, “I came to this issue in a very personal way. I was in this place. I was just elected, and I was faced with a decision: Whether to have an abortion or not.”
“And I chose to have an abortion. I walked proudly into Planned Parenthood. And I make no apologies to anyone, to no one,” James declared before the gathering to which, the New York Post reported, comedian Amy Schumer and members of the group Abortion Access Front had also given speeches on Tuesday.
That story was preceded by her fervent exclamation, “We will not go backwards. We will not go back into those days when we used wire hangers. Not now. Not ever. The right to control our bodies is a fundamental right enshrined in the 14th Amendment. And if they go after this right, who’s next?”
James defended her position with protestations of her deeply held religious beliefs.
“And I’ll have you also know that I am a woman of faith. I go to church. But my god teaches me all about love and acceptance. And my god teaches me about privacy. And my god says that you’ve gotta make the best decision for your body and your life. It’s our right under the law,” she claimed.
The AG, who had briefly entertained a run against incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) following the resignation of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo after targeting former President Donald Trump with investigations, ignored the fact that overturning Roe v. Wade did not prohibit her state from allowing abortions and carried on in a rant against Alito and his fellow Justices.
“I will not allow Justice Alito or any other judge on the Supreme Court to dictate to me, or to you, how to use your body,” she railed. “I will not allow Justice Alito to dictate to me, my future, my destiny. It is not in the hands of the United States Supreme Court. It’s in our hands.”
With that, James presented, “New York will establish a fund for a procedure that will pay…for individuals that want to come to New York for a procedure. And we will cover other expenses for getting here as well. Because New York will always provide access in the state of New York to anyone. A place where people are free. “

Activist Letitia James, the 64-year-old, single New York Attorney General is disturbed and disturbing. She is an abortion zealot and abortion is her faith and her sacrament. She is spreading her faith and is gifting women with the promised proud moments of abortion. Her church must be lauding her performance here. She claims that her proud moment happened about 20 years ago. That would be in her mid-40s. Apparently having a tubal ligation in advance of a sex life never occurred to this brilliant, woman. AG James has worked on Planned Parenthood campaigns in the past. Her net worth is estimated to be $1.5 million dollars. Her AG role brings in about $88,000 annually. It looks like Ms. James might have an ongoing paid gig with the powerful abortion provider.

OK, I have a HUGE issue with this! Now, I know that this chick was “younger” and “more immature” but think about this – if she wasn’t thinking wisely then (protecting herself, self-control, doing stupid stuff like getting pregnant), and with all that’s coming out about her bench decisions, what is there that shows that she’s any wiser, more mature or clearer thinking than she was then? If a “federal judge” being presented for a SCOTUS position can’t even think clearly about what goes on between her legs (sorry for being vulgar, but I’m sick of all this crap!), then why should we put her on the Supreme Court… For LIFE?!?!?

I think you have James confused with Jackson. Jackson is the one Biden picked for Supreme Court and was confirmed a couple of weeks ago.
She was born in 1958. She certainly looks much younger. She was probably in her 40s when she aborted her child. She should have already been making wise decisions by middle age- like why didn’t she get her tubes tied and call it a day?

Hey Letitia James, so glad you are proud. Perhaps you should have thought of your right to not have sex, which resulted in the creation of a child that you decided to terminate. You speak of rights; what of the rights of the unprotected life you created and decided to terminate. Did that baby have a choice?
