Florida Democratic Party lawmakers threw an ugly temper tantrum that was more fitting for a preschool nursery than the state legislature, screaming and yelling as Republicans moved forward with the stripping of “woke” Disney’s privileged status.

On Thursday, the Florida House of Representatives voted to eliminate Disney’s very special magic kingdom of its de facto private government and the special district where its sprawling theme parks are located, one day after the state Senate did its part. The bill now heads to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis whose stand against Disney’s corporate arrogance has been cheered by conservatives.

The flip side of cheering was the Democrats’ rude display which was unbecoming of adults, especially elected lawmakers who acted like immature fools with their futile effort to disrupt the legislative process.

The legislation is the culmination of the China-friendly entertainment behemoth’s public feud with DeSantis over the parental rights bill that he signed into law, dealing a serious blow to groomers in classrooms, legislation that was vociferously opposed by Democrats, their celeb attack dogs, and powerful corporate allies led by Disney which vowed to overturn the will of the people and their elected representatives.

But Disney soon found out that they’d messed with the wrong Republican after their attacks on DeSantis badly backfired, leading to boycotts as well as grave damage to the brand of a company that strayed far from their family-friendly movies of days past with executives openly boasting about the promotion of sexual, degenerate messages using their products.

Disney paid dearly for its foray into the political world.

Once signed by DeSantis, the Reedy Creek special district would be dissolved effective June 1, 2023, a steep price for Disney’s “pro-groomer” stance.

Additional business was taken care of when the Republican majority also passed DeSantis’ redistricting plan which was decried by Florida Democrats whose minority status left them with no recourse outside of their silly shenanigans.

The House Democrats, led by black caucus members who once again howled about racial victimhood, protested the new maps which along with voter disgust at their extreme leftism, will contribute to keeping them safely in the minority where they are unable to do any real harm to the Sunshine State.

Some broke out in singing to protest the updated districts.

While others staged a sit-in on the floor of the legislature.

Florida Democrat Rep. Anna V. Eskamani raged on Twitter.

“Republicans waved (sic) the rules to skip debate and pass all bills including the petty attack on Disney & unconstitutional Congressional maps that erase black access seats,” she wrote. “This is not democracy — this is one party rule drunk on power and bullying anyone in their way into submission.”

“What we have here is a group of people who are worried and concerned and scared about the browning, about the darkening of our country and they are trying to hold on to power so much that they are changing the rules,” said Jacksonville Democrat Rep. Angie Nixon, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Many conservatives reveled in the moment of Disney getting its comeuppance.

Twitter was also filled with the usual array of Democrat media shills, operatives, and activists howling about the unfairness of it all.

Fred Wellman, former executive director of the disgraced Lincoln Project seemed to suggest that making Disney pay its fair share is the catalyst for a revolution.

Anger and disappointment led to many taking the journey to Fantasyland, calling for Disney to pack up and leave Florida in protest, a sentiment that only underscores how out of touch with reality the modern left is.

The tone-deaf Twitter leftists completely ignored the fact that it was they who pushed Disney into coming out against DeSantis and the parental rights bill, pressuring the company into what would turn out to be a disastrous move that will cost it untold millions of dollars along with its squandered reputation, just more collateral damage in the “woke” left’s culture war.
