Game over for corrupt corporate workplaces

Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

Last week, my 14-year-old son launched a video game that forces players to discriminate based on skin color, use exact pronouns, and profess that America was founded on hatred and racism in order to keep their jobs.

I’ve never been prouder.

This is the hard truth: America’s workplaces are so corrupted by CRT, gender theory, and feminist ideologies that even my 14-year-old can riff on the absurdity of working in them.

His game, called Pronoun Landmine (which you can play here) opens with a silly-sounding backstory:

Once, there was a happy family. Each night, the father would come home from work and tell his children, ‘Daddy makes a lot of money, but remember: any day now, Daddy could step on a Pronoun Landmine, and that will be that.’”

Silly as it is, the backstory is true. My family and I had that conversation countless times, and families across America are having similar conversations on a regular basis.

Earlier this year, I quit my job at GE Healthcare to work for a pro-freedom job board called Prior to my exit, my experiences at GE Healthcare were so on-the-nose they would have caused an 80’s-era SNL writer to be fired for stereotyping: co-workers suggesting accountability measures for anyone using the word “guys”; 20 minutes of an all-division meeting spent on a Cuban immigrant’s coming out story; a mandatory DEI meeting chat-pocalypse over the Diversity deck’s opening slide (it wasn’t age-diverse enough, brown enough, or queer enough — never mind that the deck would only ever be seen by the employees discussing it).

Other situations were more serious: The president and CEO of GE Healthcare US broadcasted that the Jacob Blake shooting exemplified “long-standing systemic racism and injustice that plagues our country” to tens of thousands of employees before any investigation had been conducted or any evidence weighed.

Last October, a tired HR specialist sat with an anxious company lawyer and decided that my religious beliefs were sincere, and that others were not. As though blessed by Papal Bull, I received a vaccine pardon. Others were condemned. How did those back-office minders make that decision? Will we ever know?

And the ever-present diversity stats, reminding us that it is our duty to discriminate based on skin color and gender with each new hire.

This corporate thought-enforcement is not just relegated to water coolers. In my open exit letter to GE Healthcare’s leadership team, I reminded them of their own policy, that continued employment hinges on representing GE Values “wherever business is conducted.” This, of course, includes all social media. So let’s forget about Gina Carano, and deal with the fact that the entire public square is canceled before the first tweet is thumbed.

Anyone working in a Fortune-500 company will likely see these anecdotes, grin in recognition, then shrug. “That’s corporate America for you. What can you do?”

Indeed, what can you do?

You can speak. You can defy. You can quit playing. You can find a new job with a pro-freedom employer at

If America fails, it will not be because of CRT, or DEI initiatives, or ninth-wave Trans-feminist diktats. It will be because of our own complacency, our failure to act.

If this corruption continues, my son will (of necessity) start new businesses. He will scoff at high-wage jobs at Apple and Amazon. He will refuse to sacrifice his integrity for the sake of bigger paychecks and better benefits. He will create, and he will win.

He will not, for one minute, believe those who say “what can you do?” because he is already doing.

In one of the more uncomfortable moments in his game, players must make a hiring decision. They are shown a diversity chart. They are shown a black man and a white man. They are told to choose.

There is only one right answer.
