A Texas Democrat proposed to eliminate law enforcement at the southern border and turn to “civilianized” personnel instead, claiming the change would “restore dignity” to the process for asylum seekers.
“We should not be utilizing law enforcement to essentially manage or oversee or process vulnerable populations,” Texas Democrat Rep. Veronica Escobar said recently on “MSNBC Reports.”
“We should civilianize that personnel and get law enforcement back to what they were trained to do,” she said, apparently forgetting that law enforcement is actually trained to enforce laws and put a stop to things like illegal border crossings.

“I have proposed and have been working with Secretary Mayorkas on reforming the way we process asylum seekers at the southern border,” the El Paso-based lawmaker said.
“Thankfully,” Escobar noted, “the secretary has been very open to my ideas.”
Escobar is convinced her idea would be a turning point in processing migrants on the southern border.
“I think it will really be a watershed moment for us on the border if we’re able to successfully make this work,” she explained, “so that we restore dignity to the process, restore dignity to migrants, and to federal personnel and maintain our security at the same time.”
Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R-Tx) posted the clip to social media and seemed to proclaim it was all the evidence needed to not vote Democrat in the upcoming election.

Republican National Committee Deputy Director of Rapid Response Jake Schneider called the proposal “insane.”
“What does she have in mind? Social workers?” he tweeted. “Give me a break. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS!”
Another wondered if there was some glut of unemployed social workers somewhere that she was trying to put back to work.

“They are hellbent on turning southern states blue,” wrote another person on social media.
“Democrats are dangerously lawless, pure and simple,” noted another person.

Escobar’s suggestion comes on the heels of President Joe Biden’s announcement of the end of Title 42 which allowed immigration officials to turn away migrants without giving them the opportunity to apply for asylum. Many people are predicting that the change in policy will open the floodgates at the southern border.
Last summer, Escobar sent a staff member across the border to Ciudad Juárez to coach immigrants on how to utilize a loophole that would allow them entry back to the United States.

Why don’t we let the boy scouts run the government as well!
Give the officers a clip-on tie or bow, because that’s as civil as illegals deserve. The government needs to have the illegal migrant stand in line. Then take a number and wait for their number to be called., with only one window open. Then have the officer hand them a stack of paperwork and tell them to come back with all the necessary documents and take number. Then after the final step is completed. Tell them to wait to be notified in the next 90 days at their place of residence. Like the government does to law-abiding citizens. Just saying
Ms. Escobar, like all Democrats, has the mistaken idea that these illegals will vote Democrat. Sure, give them a driver’s license for ID. Then let them all vote wherever they land. But ya know, once they see how the Democrats intend to treat them they won’t have that guaranteed voter base. They’ll soon realize the Dems just want a peon class of workers with no chance of lifting themselves up.
Addendum: and with no bail for criminals they won’t be any safer here than they were in their own countries. We are becoming a third world country right before our eyes.
She is right. We should not be using border police at this point. We should be using the military. We are seeing an invasion at the border. The US government’s main job constitutionally is to protect our borders against Invasions. Government officials supporting this invasion is treasonous.
I have news for you ms. Escobar. That will not go well by any stretch of the imagination. You want untrained civilians to take care of the illegal border crossers. Just brilliant. Are they going to be allowed to carry weapons? I can see it playing out that there are going to be a lot of body bags used for illegals. Americans are fed up with the way slo joke is intentionally allowing illegals to cross our southern border and the civilians charged with handling illegals at the border will at some point take the law into their own hands.
Escobar is a lying, treasonous hog. One has to wonder how much the Mexican Drug Cartels are paying her for her ideas.we know they have to be. The question is just how much.
