While Will Smith’s slapping of Chris Rock at the Academy Awards ceremony is drawing the most attention to yet another sickening orgy of celebrity virtue signaling, the event also featured a trio of actresses making a political statement about Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” parental rights bill.

Leftist favorites Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall did a silly little performance that not only completely misrepresented the legislation which doesn’t once mention the word “gay” but served as a perfect example of why the ratings for what was once a hugely popular spectacle have spiraled downward with viewers tuning out on the narcissists who present themselves as being morally superior.

Following a head-scratching jab at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell whose name came up during a joke on non-existent “toxic masculinity,” the trio announced, “For you people in Florida, we’re gonna have a gay night,” suggesting that residents of one of the nation’s most populous states are all homophobic bigots.

They then began chanting “gay, gay, gay, gay, gay…” to the adoring crowd of cultural elites who were packed into the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood to the rafters as the camera panned to John Travolta, a Sunshine State resident, sending the actor trending on Twitter.

One who offered up a review of the three musketeers of wokeness was Christina Pushaw, the press secretary for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who posted her reaction on Twitter.

“Florida will never recover from this,” she wrote with a laughing emoji.

In another tweet, Pushaw kept it short and sweet, “CRINGE!!!!”

In a third tweet, the spox summed it up perfectly, “Being attacked by these degenerates is a badge of honor.”

Twitter users joined Pushaw in reacting to the ridiculousness of the high priestesses of the Hollywood “woke” cult.

Others reacted to the shot of the “Pulp Fiction” star.

The left continues to promote the blatantly false narrative that the Florida bill is discriminatory to the LBGTQ+ demographic instead of what it really is, a prohibition on the indoctrination of the youngest Floridians into homosexuality and transgenderism by predators masquerading as teachers which many have described as grooming, including Pushaw.

“If you’re against the Anti-Grooming Bill, you are probably a groomer or at least you don’t denounce the grooming of 4-8 year old children. Silence is complicity. This is how it works, Democrats, and I didn’t make the rules,” she tweeted earlier this month.

What Sykes and her co-hosts failed to mention is that the parental rights bill has bipartisan support with even Democrats being sickened by the far-left activists in classrooms, a major break with the coastal cultural elites who dominate the media and hold major sway over the direction of the party at the national level.

According to the survey of 701 likely Democratic primary voters by Floridians for Economic Advancement, respondents overwhelmingly supported the ban on the sexualizing of young children 52-36 percent.

Hollywood, the media, and the Democratic Party that they represent seem completely out of touch with America and totally oblivious to it.
