TN school board member caught on hot mic asking about setting Sen. Marsha Blackburn on fire

The left’s tendency to use rhetoric of extreme violence against political adversaries has once again reared its ugly head, this time at a Tennessee school board hearing where a member said she wanted to set fire to a sitting United States senator.

During a public meeting of the Metro Nashville Board of Public Education last week, a woman on the elected body was caught on hot mic expressing her opinion that Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn should be lit ablaze, a stunning moment of candor from one of many far-left extremists who have been able to commandeer seats on elected school boards across the nation.

The woman who has been identified by the Tennessee Star as Sharon Gentry made her remarks during a break from public input during crosstalk when she said the quiet part out loud, that partisan rancor toward Republicans and conservatives has reached such a hateful level that barbaric solutions are now perfectly acceptable as a way to settle differences.

Video of the elected board member’s incendiary remarks quickly went viral on social media.

“Have you been watching these Supreme Court…,” said one unidentified woman.

“Let me tell y’all,” another replied.

“She is something else,” one voice says, apparently referring to Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson.

“Let me tell y’all,” again.

“I love her,” a voice says, expressing passionate admiration for the D.C. Appeals Court judge.

“Can we just go set Marsha Blackburn on fire?” interjected the woman who has been identified as Gentry.

The motivation to express a desire to see a US senator set ablaze appears to have stemmed from Blackburn’s effort to pin down President Joe Biden’s historic nominee on the definition of what a woman is during an intense exchange during last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings.

Here’s the exchange between Sen. Blackburn and Judge Jackson.

Blackburn: “Can you provide a definition for the word ‘woman’?”

Jackson: “Can I provide a definition?”

Blackburn: “Mhmm, yeah.”

Jackson: “No, I can’t.”

Blackburn: “You can’t?”

Jackson: “Not in this context – I’m not a biologist.”

As could be expected, Twitter was lit up with fiery reactions to the board member’s murderous remarks.

I read the article twice because I thought maybe I missed it but I did not see anything that spoke about this lady Dr. Sharon Gentry committing hate speech or a public threat against a sitting Senator. The article does point out the fact she was caught on a hot mic and that she is in a position of leadership by being on the school board but seems to have no problem with what she did wrong. I honestly believe if this had been reversed and a person with conservative values made this comment the story line would have been much different.

  4. It goes to show us how little respect the Demo-Lib-Left has for school kids and their parents, as well as how violent they are regarding anyone who disagrees with them or their agendas, especially if they are Conservatives or Republicans.

  5. I read the article twice too. It didn’t reach the level of what is legally called hate speach. It was just the typical catty comments of the left whenever they find they can’t dictate their desires. However, what I found disturbing about the mike-talk was the ” love” for Jackson. I’ve watched as much as I could stand of the hearings and all I’ve heard her say was essentially ” I don’t know,I can’t say, it depends”. You must admit she’s been coached well ; basically, say nothing, tell them nothing, stall until their time runs out ( talk slow and stutter a lot, and take as long as you can to thank them for their question, but don’t care give a yes or no to anything, even if they ask you if you need a drink of water.Just sit there, him and haw and we’ll confirm you. How do you love someone you learn nothing about; I mean no single Republican has asked her if she likes beer .Remember people thanks to Biden’s racist remark we’re being given a life sentence of ” a black woman”, those were his qualification s.

  6. Now compare all the glowing remarks for the despicable child porn admirer vs a DECENT, CHRISTIAN WHITE FEMALE candidate!! Not only was their bigotry from the dems, but outright hatred and hostility! Jackson is NOT QUALIFIED – she’s “of color”, but evidently unable to assess her “woman” part!
