Artist Kanye West has been on a tear since splitting up with wife Kim Kardashian, but it looks like his anger isn’t only directed at her new partner.
On Wednesday, West posted a screenshot from Google showing “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah being described as a “South African comedian.” He coupled that with multiple uses of a racial slur to substitute the words of “Kumbaya”.
“All in together now… K–n baya my lord k–n baya K–n baya my lord K–n baya Oooo’ lord K–n baya,” he wrote.
But Noah isn’t specifically involved in the divorce proceedings, at least, not like Kardashian and her new beau comedian Pete Davidson, both of whom West has targeted in his posts on the social media platform. So why go after him in such a nasty way?
Noah noted the drama on his late-night show, and his commentary wasn’t favorable for West.
“What [Kardashian is] going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave,” he said. “What we’re seeing is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world, unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her.”
After recounting the abuse he witnessed, including his own mother being accused of “overreacting” until Noah’s stepfather shot her in the head (which she survived) Noah asked a simple question: “As a society, we have to ask ourselves questions. Do we wish to stand by and watch a car crash when we thought we saw it coming?”
West has repeatedly accused Kardashian of keeping him from his kid, which she has rebuked publically on social media. He’s also hurled insults and abuse at Davidson, who appears to be egging the rapper on in his crusade.
As BizPac Review previously reported, on Monday Davidson was communicating with West, chastizing the musician for his behavior toward the couple. At one point in the conversation, West asked Davidson where he was, prompting the comedian to send back a bare-chested picture with the caption “in bed with your wife.”
