Fox News host Jesse Watters debuted “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Monday vowing that he would expose corrupt politicians and celebrate patriots who embody American values. Meanwhile, CNN laughably declared that liberal host  Jim Acosta’s special “Democracy in Peril” was a hit.

“The American people have run out of patience, and we’re tired of being disrespected,” Watters asserted in the opening of his new show.

“Ignorant, greedy leaders sold out our factories and pride to the Chinese Communists for unpatriotic profits. Deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan; wars shamefully mismanaged took a physical and mental toll. We were oversaturated with highly addictive painkillers, while Wall Street blew up the economy and escaped with golden parachutes instead of prison stripes,” he said, hitting the mark on current affairs in America.

“Cyber-warriors continue to seek division on the basis of skin color while intentionally ignoring the true class-based divisions being created by those in power,” he continued.

“The left romanticized rage and resistance for four straight years, but now they want to cancel you for just daring to disagree. And just as we came up for air, a sketchy virus slipped out of the very country we arrogantly misjudged two decades ago when we brought them into the [World Trade Organization],” Watters noted.

He addressed the “permanent pandemic power grab” imposed on Americans attempting to make them serfs rather than a free people. The manipulation of an emergency to assert control has confirmed the worst fears of Americans ever since the beginning of the pandemic when leaders assured the country that it was “two weeks to stop the spread” and then hit everyone with one business-killing, freedom-sucking lockdown after another.

“[T]he American people have been disrespected for far too long. And that stops tonight. We’ll be exposing the scoundrels, celebrating the patriots, and making sure we’re respected,” he said. “We’re in a republic and we give our representatives power to represent us, not themselves. Every night, we’ll remind them they work for us,” Watters assured millions of Americans.

He gave out his phone number and email so people could contact him directly and admonished them to state their name, state, and city along with giving a tip, thought, or question.

In his signature move, Watters took to New York’s streets to find out what people think of the new show and what they want from him.

Meanwhile, Acosta’s special on CNN basically tanked when it premiered. The abysmal ratings were widely panned.

Acosta’s first guest was left-wing election attorney and Democratic operative Marc Elias who was asked “how likely is it in these upcoming midterms that we’re gonna see a scenario of multiple elections across the country becoming such a huge circus because of these bogus fraud claims?”

Elias ran with it, of course, stating “we are one, maybe two, elections cycles away from a real constitutional crisis.”

Acosta continued the lunacy by asking “what’s the impact on our democracy? I mean, Marc, do you have enough lawyers on your team to handle that kind of scenario?”

Then Acosta bloviated on his favorite fixation – former President Trump in a segment where he engaged in a painful monologue over what America would be like if Trump somehow stayed in the White House after he lost the 2020 election.

“Jailing political opponents. Yes, that is one thing that happens when democracy dies. Why stop at Congress, Newt? What’s next? Judges? Yes, when a would-be dictator seizes power, anything goes at that point. There goes the January 6th investigation. Like the Republican Party is going to stop him. Certainly not the 147 Republicans in the House and Senate who still voted to overturn the election results even after the attack on the Capitol,” he said, addressing a clip by Newt Gingrich and obsessing over Jan. 6.

“I suppose the dictator would occasionally sit down for an interview to take questions about what happened on January 6th. But it wouldn’t be a real interview. So of course he would have to turn to Sean Hannity,” Acosta caustically remarked to a minuscule audience.

He attacked those he fears, Fox News hosts Tuckers Carlson and Sean Hannity, while referring to Trump as the “Mussolini of Mar-a-Largo.” An irrelevant Acosta whined that the former president “can seize another breadstick from the buffet at down at his club, but he can’t seize our elections.”

The show, which ran opposite of Sean Hannity’s on Fox News, effectively bombed in the ratings. Hannity saw more than five times the audience for Acosta, according to Mediaite. The ratings were so horrible that Tucker Carlson’s audience in just the key advertiser’s demo was larger than CNN’s total audience for the show.

In utter desperation, CNN then decided that Acosta was the best bet to take Chris Cuomo’s spot and called the Monday through Friday trainwreck “Democracy in Peril.”

Acosta also bitterly told Don Lemon in a different segment that he and others at his network “never got an apology” from former President Trump following President Biden calling Fox News’ Peter Doocy a “stupid son-of-a-b*tch” on a hot mic.

“Today we had the president of the United States refer to a reporter as an SOB,” Acosta commented Monday night. “Ya know, Don [Lemon] you and I got called a lot worse back in the day. We never got an apology. I don’t remember that from the commander in chief. So maybe things are a little bit better to some extent.”
