A focus group apparently left the host of CBS “Face the Nation” stunned upon making it unanimous that the first year of the Biden administration has failed to make America a better place.
That sentiment also included the belief that no improvement in the nation’s economy has occurred and that metaphorically, President Joe Biden is not bringing home the bacon.
“Who feels like we are in a better place now than we were a year ago?” Brennan asked the panel, which included Biden voters. When none of the six participants answered in the affirmative, a stunned Brennan replied, “No one believes we are in a better spot?”
The Sunday talk show purports to be “listening to America,” but is the political/media establishment really hearing and processing what the electorate is saying?
With inflation soaring, one panelist implied the Joe Biden is turning out to be Jimmy Carter 2.0 by doing the opposite of what President Trump did. Another said the country is suffering from COVID fatigue and described Congress (which is currently under the narrow control of Democrats) as “worthless.”
Washington, with all three branches of the government under one party rule, still doesn’t understand the concerns of America, the group also seemed to indicate.
“I really had such high hopes for this administration when they came in. And it’s just been one disaster another. Afghanistan, inflation: take your pick. I just don’t understand. I thought this was gonna be a president for the people, of the people, and I just feel like it’s one, you know, hurdle after another that we all have to climb,” one of the participants declared.
With Brennan and her staff based in DC, perhaps they need to get out more because the common-sense reaction from the six-person Zoom panel should hardly have been all that surprising.
The same participant implied that the government is overreacting to the current situation with regard to COVID. “For a lot of us, who do take care of ourselves and everything, and are younger, we need to go and live our lives. Public science has not caught up with that yet.”
Throughout the course of the interview, an apparently disappointed Brennan, still pushing the conventional, corporate media COVD-related narrative, seemed to function more like White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s assistant rather than a journalist in trying to offset the panelists’ negative perception of the Biden administration’s performance.

One member of the panel, which is evidently made up of both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, noted in response to a question from Brennan that Joe Biden’s “pandemic of the unvaccinated” claim wasn’t an issue because “I work with someone who is vaccinated, and has had the booster, and they had COVID three times. So I’m not buying that.”
A man in the focus group chided the government, as other example of a general theme, for putting out what he said was misinformation about the efficacy of cloth masks.
A woman who described herself as fully vaxxed admitted that she is still worried about getting sick and agreed that the government messaging has been “really confusing.”
“I don’t blame people at all who haven’t gotten vaccinated because the story was the pandemic will be over. But the truth of the matter is people do still get sick even though they’re vaccinated. So I think things are just as bad as they were when the pandemic started,” she added.
She also said that Biden “has not stuck to any of his promises” and that no one in Washington adequately represents working people.
When Brennan, still doing damage control for the Dems, touted Biden’s federal spending spree, a male participant responded that “It really hasn’t made a difference at all, at least in my life. Sure, it may have helped some people temporarily, but ultimately what everything costs, with all this money pumped into the economy, it caused inflation.”
Prices at the supermarket have doubled, another panelist noted. “My granddaughter loves bacon, by the way, and I can barely afford bacon.”
Feedback like this seems to validate a new Fox News poll that revealed that If the 2024 election were held now, 60 percent would vote for someone other than Joe Biden.
