Conservatives expressed shock and dismay after Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh sided with the court’s leftists to preserve President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for health care workers in a ruling that came down on Thursday afternoon.

While Kavanaugh was instrumental in dealing a major blow to Biden’s authoritarianism by joining the majority in the 6-3 ruling to strike down the coercion of private-sector employees to be vaccinated using the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for enforcement, a crushing defeat for the White House, his joining of the liberal wing along with Chief Justice John Roberts allowed Biden to salvage something positive out of an otherwise horrific day.

The surviving mandate which applies to facilities that receive Medicare or Medicaid payments will affect millions of employees in an already beleaguered health care system that is struggling to manage the rapid spread of the omicron variant, possibly leading to a wave of firings of frontline healthcare workers who decline to take the jab.

Kavanaugh, who was appointed to the nation’s highest court by former President Donald J. Trump and then survived one of the most dastardly smear campaigns in history to take his seat on the bench, was ripped to shreds by conservatives who clearly expected more from him, especially when it came to such an important decision.

Fox News ratings king Tucker Carlson described Kavanaugh as a “cringing little liberal” for joining Roberts, Sonia Sotomayor, Stephen Breyer, and Elena Kagan during a discussion with guest Harmeet Dhillon of the Center for American Liberties on the SCOTUS and other Biden mandates.

Others took to Twitter where they expressed their disappointment.

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz wrote, “It was disappointing to see Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh join the Court’s liberals to uphold a mandate that targets health care workers.”

Fellow Florida Congressman Anthony Sabatini kept it short and sweet, “SHAME ON KAVANAUGH,” he tweeted.

“Christine Ford SAID that Kavanaugh ‘dry humped’ her back in the day; and he’s been ‘dry humping’ the GOP ever since he got on the Supreme Court,” wrote Pastor Darrell Scott.

Former Trump campaign advisor Steve Cortes tweeted, “America First patriots and Pres Trump rallied fiercely to Brett Kavanaugh at his crucible moment, and he’s been a disappointment ever since.”

Reporter Jon Miller weighed in, “I am credibly accusing Justice Kavanaugh of raping the Constitution and the rights of all healthcare workers today by voting for such an abusive mandate.”

Other reactions to Kavanaugh’s defection:

The negative sentiment expressed at Kavanaugh is probably understandable considering how hard conservatives fought to save his nomination after the despicable Democrat onslaught using the unprovable allegations of Christine Blasey Ford who claimed that he sexually assaulted her decades ago were wielded in a failed effort to keep him off of the bench in a grotesque spectacle that served as a showcase for the left’s vile tactics and brought dishonor on much of the Senate.

Despite his key vote for the preservation of the mandate for healthcare workers, Kavanaugh’s support of the Supreme Court’s scuttling of Biden’s much more sweeping decree on employers of over 100 that would affect tens of millions of workers was a major win for medical freedom at a time when it has been under relentless assault and he deserves credit for being on the right side in that ruling.
