If there wasn’t already enough to lambast the Left for in raising up the Jan. 6 riot as being on par with Pearl Harbor and 9/11, we can add worship of The Party and lust for power to the list.
Leftist Democrats in Congress decided to have a candlelight vigil in commemoration of what they have deemed as a day that will live in infamy, but the “Fox News Primetime” panelists on Thursday weren’t buying their grotesquely misplaced gesture.
Fox News’ Pete Hegseth chastised those in attendance, asserting that “this is a vigil for what they believe is the altar of their power.”
The vigil was an absurdly solemn affair, complete with an invocation from a Catholic bishop and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) leading members down the steps while each held an electric candle in their hands.
Guest host Lawrence Jones said of the gathering, “Apparently now they believe back in God, they believe back into prayer.”
“They’re praying, yay,” guest Dana Loesch interjected.
Hegseth jumped in, saying what most God-fearing conservatives have been thinking for a long time when it comes to Leftist “thoughts and prayers.” That is the worship of false idols, among other things.
“But Lawrence, what are they praying to?” Hegseth asked. “Because you talked about how they talk in religious terms about January 6th because what they believe was attacked was their cathedral, which is government. They worship government as if it is their God. And when that is targeted as something people are unsatisfied with, they feel the most under threat.”
Jones leaped in with a poignant question, asking, “Where is the vigil for Afghanistan?”
And in terms specific to Jan. 6, one wonders where the vigil is for Ashli Babbitt, though that question answers itself when the political party in power is considered.
“Well, if they believed, there would be vigils about real things,” Hegseth replied to Jones. “This is a vigil for what they believe is the altar of their power…Who are they praying to? The gods of climate change? Themselves? The Democrat Party? Nancy Pelosi? I don’t know. But it’s not the Lord and Savior that our founders put the trust in because it was we the people, rights endowed by a creator,” Hegseth added.
“That’s not what they’re talking about”
Loesch asked, “Where’s the vigil for David Dorn?”
She went on to question the Democrat Party and its leaders for their encouragement of riots and arson along with their support of bail reform for such acts, particularly as seen throughout 2020 in major cities across the country.
As well, their candlelight vigil after years of protestations from President Biden on down through the ranks and across all media that 2016 was an illegitimate election further illustrates the absurdity at which they excel.
