To hear liberals tell it, American democracy is holding on by its fingernails, and any attempts to question any election result ever, from POTUS to local dog catcher, is an egregiously anti-American act by those who just want to see everything burn.
Luckily the country has a stoic and brave group of journalists who are ready to get down to business, ask the hard questions, and pull democracy back from the jaws of authoritarianism. For the people, of course.
One of these intrepid thought leaders is Ana Navarro, who has a history of being on pretty much the wrong side of any issue one can think of. Recently, she found herself on “The View” and boy did she have a rant for the ages. She ripped on former President Donald Trump, the “Big Lie” and the 2016 election results all in one go, wildly unaware that she was contradicting herself the longer her raving went on.
Watch:
.@ananavarro: “There’s things which I think should transcend partisanship and should transcend politics. And a breach of the U.S. Capitol, an attack on our democratic principles and institutions should be one of those things.” #TheView pic.twitter.com/vqx6IrsIsq

“There’s things which I think should transcend partisanship and should transcend politics, and a breach of the U.S. Capitol, an attack on our democratic principles and institutions should be one of those things, and I really blame Republicans at the top for capitulating to Trump,” Navarro whined.
“I blame Trump for continuing this environment of lies and conspiracy theories and not accepting that he lost, and encouraging and promoting what happened, the Big Lie and what happened on Jan. 6,” she noted. “He bears responsibility, and it’s not just me saying this.”
Then she got to the good stuff – denying Trump won the 2016 election legitimately. Democracy better gird its loins.
“Look, I felt – I felt that Donald Trump had not been legitimately elected. I felt he’d gotten help from the Russians, but you know what? It would have never occurred to me to make up arms against Donald Trump. That’s just not what we do in America.”
Twitter couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play the Chicken Little “the sky is falling” routine, and boy does it hit the spot after a year of bellyaching:
