Dr. Anthony Fauci raised eyebrows when he appeared to make a distinction about COVID hospitalizations that many have been contending for nearly two years.
The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases seemed to flip the narrative on the increasing number of children in the hospital with the virus. During an MSNBC interview, Fauci explained how children are tested for COVID upon entering a hospital, regardless of what they came in with.
The difference between the number of children hospitalized with COVID as opposed to “because of COVID” was a clear contrast Fauci made and one that others have been contending throughout the pandemic.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz called out President Biden’s Chief Medical Advisor in a tweet on Thursday, accusing him of playing “pandemic politics.”
“Now Fauci says this? Is this because pandemic politics have changed for the Biden admin?” the Texas Republican tweeted.

“And what we mean by that: if a child goes into the hospital, they automatically get tested for COVID and they get counted as a COVID-hospitalized individual, when, in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that,” Fauci had said in the MSNBC interview.
“So it’s over counting the number of children who are, quote, hospitalized with COVID as opposed to because of COVID,” he said after a reported 66% increase in the number of children admitted to hospitals with the coronavirus in the week of Dec. 22-28 from one week earlier.
Cruz was not alone in noticing Fauci’s distinction as Twitter users slammed the immunologist for the “great walk back.”
Things we knew, but were considered conspiracy, long ago.

This has been the case for 2 years now…yet nobody wants to make that distinction until now for some reason…..
