Candace Owens pushed back after leftists exploited her interview with former President Donald J. Trump to attack her over her stance on vaccine mandates and the forced masking of children, both of which she steadfastly opposes.

Owens sat down with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate for the wide ranging discussion and when the topic of vaccines came up, the once and possibly future POTUS touted the effectiveness of the vaccines which he views as one of his signature accomplishments during his historic four years in office.

Trump also expressed his opposition to the authoritarian approach of his successor Joe Biden who has relied on coercion rather than persuasion with his employer vaccine mandates, stating that he respects the idea that Americans should be free to choose whether to be jabbed or not.

Seeing an opening to discredit Owens, her antagonists seized on her differences of opinion to misleadingly twist the interview into her being “rebuked” by Trump, a rare instance of far-left media taking the side of a man whom they openly despise with the Daily Beast tweeting that he “pushed back” at her “anti-vaccine talking points,”

Not one to turn the other cheek, Owens responded to the Daily Beast’s distortion of the interview, taking to Twitter to defend herself.

“What?! LOL This is such a dishonest headline. Trump did not push back against anything I said,” she wrote. “We agreed that vaccine mandates and masking children are wrong. He simply expressed that he believes vaccines work and people should get them.”

In a subsequent tweet, Owens stated that people have the right to choose whether or not to be vaccinated and that she will exercise that freedom out of distrust of Big Pharma which she called “the greatest evil on the face of the planet,” adding that “I am healthy, young, in shape and simply unafraid of Covid-19.”

She also resoundingly rejected the bullying and fearmongering of those who desire to make their own personal medical decisions.

“I will never waver in my perspective that anything that requires a mass fear campaign, censorship, coercion, threats, and bribery to make people comply is not rooted in health or science. I do not trust the vaccine and I will never be too fearful to express my viewpoint,” Owens wrote.

Owens was also savaged by Meghan McCain, the former co-host of “The View” who took to Twitter make it all about her, a typical reaction from the attention-seeking daughter of the late Senator John McCain whose carried his personal war with Trump all the way to his grave.

The clash culminated with McCain rejecting an invitation to be interviewed by Owens, claiming that she called her “obese” along with the vulgar remark to “Get f**ked.”

Owens got the last word, rebuking McCain over her “gutter and trashy” remark.

Trump’s advocacy for vaccines at a time when the Omicron variant has set off a Christmas wave of mass hysteria and calls for Americans to line up for boosters drew an unprecedented compliment from Biden as well as the idea that the two should join forces to energize the White House’s mass vaccination campaign.

When asked whether the Biden administration would consider partnering with Trump, White House press secretary Jen Psaki batted down a reporter’s question on whether such an alliance was in the offing.

“You know, you guys have been sharing press about former President Trump’s message recently on boosters,” asked the reporter, “and I’m wondering given the former president’s apparent change in tune on this issue over the last week, has there been any renewed contact between President Biden and the former president or your teams?”

Psaki replied, “No, but we are grateful that the former president got the booster, we’re also grateful that he made clear in a recent interview that they’re effective and that they’re safe and that’s an important message for anyone to hear, this is not a partisan issue, this is about saving lives, communicating accurate information, pushing back against inaccurate information and in this particular case, the former president did that.”

It is the ultimate of ironies that those who insist on forcing Americans to be vaccinated have now turned to Trump to save Biden over his inability to get COVID under control as he promised.
