U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) reacted to her war of words with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk by demanding in an appearance on MSNBC that he eat a “big dish” of taxes. Musk, in turn, is accusing the lawmaker of hypocrisy.

The left-wing network provides a soft landing spot for liberals, and host Joy Reid teed up this particular segment embedded above by describing the newly named Time magazine Person of the Year and world’s wealthiest person as the “absolute worst” and a selfish, thin-skinned freeloader.

In her intro, the “ReidOut” host, whom Tucker Carlson has dubbed “the race lady” and Jason Whitlock has renamed Racial Maddow, mentioned certain racial discrimination allegations and financial improprieties involving Musk’s business activities. Reid also accused  Musk of “misappropriating black vernacular for misogynistic purposes.”

Reid highlighted Musk’s perhaps major shortcoming in that he opposes the Biden administration’s proposed massive spending spree known as the Build Back Better legislation.

The dispute got its start when Warren, who is a fan of packing the U.S. Supreme Court with progressive activists, tweeted that “Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else.”

Musk, who has an estimated net worth of $255 billion, fired back to the senator, saying, among other things, “And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year” and “don’t spend it all at once…oh wait, you already did.”

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO also referred to Warren as “Senator Karen,” and added that “You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason.”

With a link to an article about Warren claiming Native American heritage for career advancement in academia, a subterfuge for which she later apologized, Musk first had advised her to “stop projecting.”

Echoing some of the same terminology that Reid included in the opening to the segment, Warren asserted that “the world’s richest freeloader evidently has a very thin skin. But you know the part that makes me angry about this? It’s on behalf of every public school teacher, every waitress, every computer programmer, every street cleaner who actually paid taxes, and that means they paid more than Elon Musk did in federal income taxes.

“And that’s just not right, and it means the system is broken. I, along with many others, am trying to fix that.

“But the days when these guys not only get to rake it all in but then rub everybody else’s nose in it, while they head off in outer space and declare how they did this all on their own when they were subsidized by the federal government and subsidized by every waitress and public schoolteacher who paid their taxes. This is wrong. And Elon Musk needs to eat a big dish of that,” Warren, a failed 2020 Democrat presidential candidate who has an estimated net worth of about $12 million, concluded.

The following day, Musk retweeted a video from The DC Patriot account that read as follows: “This is the person talking about Elon Musk paying his fair share of taxes as she and her Entourage deplane from their private jet while sticking up for the little guy… Elon’s paying $15 billion in taxes, Lizzy paid $5k on her $12 million.”

Underneath that tweet, Musk wrote “what a hypocrite” and “explain yourself Sen. Warren.”

Last month, Musk sparred online with socialist Bernie Sanders when the Vermont senator, a multimillionaire, called for wealthy people to pay their fair share, which is a familiar mantra.

Ex-President Donald Trump memorably nicknamed Warren “Pocahontas” owing to her resume enhancement.

Estimates differ as to how big a check Elon Musk is going to have to write to Uncle Sam, but it is apparently going to be huge, although no one will have to hold a bake sale for him.

“The eccentric billionaire…likely owes the federal government at least $8.3 billion for 2021…Only the Internal Revenue Service knows who the largest taxpayer in American history is, though,” Forbes reported. “In some prior years, Musk has paid little to no taxes…His tax bill could be higher still if California goes after him. Though Musk relocated to Texas last year, his former home state could tax Musk on the value of options he earned while residing there.”

As alluded to above, other news outlets claim that Musk is on the hook for up to $15 billion.
