“The Five” took direct aim at the leftist media and Democrats on Friday for laughably praising Biden’s economy as the “strongest” one ever seen while inflation rocketed to a 39-year high this week and Americans soured on the President’s economic policies.

“[Don Lemon] actually literally sang Biden’s praises,” co-host Greg Gutfeld smirked while showing the embattled CNN anchor celebrating a 4-cent-decrease in the price of gas last week.

Even more ridiculous was CNBC host Jim Cramer proclaiming “[the United States has] the strongest economy perhaps I have ever seen.” Many have never seen inflation this high in their lifetimes. Those that have, remember the Jimmy Carter years and not fondly.

The outlandish statement stunned the co-hosts and had many Americans rolling on the floor laughing. People remember the prosperous Reagan years and how Trump’s economy simply roared. Compared to that, Biden’s economy is a dangerous and bad joke to economists and the majority of Americans.

“He must have compromising pictures of the president of CNBC because I don’t know how he can get away with saying a lot of this stuff. Inflation’s at nearly seven percent…,” Gutfeld sarcastically commented.

Gutfeld is also still trying to wrap his head around Biden calling for Americans to pay their fair share for gas.

“…[I]t’s really hard to come out of this [economy], and it only affects the lower and the middle class[es]. The rich are fine with inflation. They don’t care,” co-host Jesse Watters noted.

“I have never seen so much contempt for the working class in this country. There is going to be an earthquake of an election in a year,” he warned.

Co-host Dagen McDowell pointed out that 11 million job openings still “can’t be filled.” She contended that U.S. wages “are falling” when adjusted for inflation, with real wages having dropped since Biden took office last January. Democratic policies would have to be reversed to combat inflation, she stated.

“We ought to figure out how… we make Pittsburgh, Philly, Memphis, Detroit, Atlanta [and] Denver… advanced innovation and manufacturing centers so [that] we can ship some of what we have over in Asia back here in the United States,” co-host Harold Ford Jr. said. “But we have to build the infrastructure. … All of these cities are capable of doing these things and creating jobs and making America more competitive in the 21st century.”

The Biden administration has held secret meetings with newsroom executives to persuade them to give a favorable spin on the economy to the American people no matter how bad it really is. Looking at the headlines and listening to liberal talking heads, it appears they got their marching orders and are carrying them out just as instructed regardless of the numbers.

The latest CNBC All-America Economic Survey shows that Biden’s economic approval ratings have fallen further, with just 37 percent approving and 56 percent disapproving. That is down from a 40 percent approval rating in the previous survey. Inflation has topped COVID-19 as the primary concern for respondents, showing that Americans have soured on Biden’s economic policies.

“Given historic government spending and the trillions of additional spending proposed, Americans have good reason to worry about inflation — and higher prices across the board confirm those fears,” Heritage Foundation senior fellow Joel Griffith commented according to the Washington Examiner.

He also doubts that the Build Back Better Act or any other liberal proposal will help at all to reduce inflation.

“Make no mistake, these enormous expansions of government spending by the left will come at a cost,” he remarked. “Americans will pay either through direct taxation, higher borrowing costs, or the hidden tax of inflation. This inflation tax can be the most destructive and painful of all.”

Americans are angry over rising inflation and it will no doubt have major repercussions in the 2022 midterm elections.

“If the election were tomorrow, it would be an absolute unmitigated disaster for the Democrats,” Jay Campbell, who is a partner at Hart Research Associates and the Democratic pollster for the survey, told CNBC.
