Children in Germany are being subjected to rituals eerily reminiscent of 1930’s Germany each day at school, where they are required to stand in front of their class and divulge their vaccination status in what one reporter dubbed, “ritual humiliation”.

Alex Story, a reporter for Great Britain News, told the outlet in a Friday interview that there were three recent stories out of Germany that illustrate how frightening the divide between the vaccinated and unvaccinated has become.

“I mean I just have to go north of Austria, which is obviously Germany and there are three stories I think that tell a really good story,” Story began, “The first one was reported in ‘Die Welt’, which is the equivalent of ‘The Guardian’ in Germany, and it’s essentially about the ritual humiliation of children who are asked to go to the front of the class and state the vaccination status daily.”

“Those who are vaccinated are applauded, those who are not have to explain why they’re not,” Story stated.

The debate over the implementation of a vaccine mandate is not new, but it has become increasingly polarizing with the emergence of new variants.

‘That — that’s the one story I think that really kind of should raise an alarm bell for people who are for the mandate,” the reporter said.

Last month, a twelve-year-old German child died two days after receiving the Pfizer vaccine. The child had pre-existing health conditions, but it was likely that “the death was due to the vaccination,” according to a report from one German outlet.

Officials backed away from calls for mandatory vaccination of children following the 12-year-old’s death.

Another concerning story out of Germany is the current deliberation over whether or not citizens should be required to wear a wristband when they go shopping to denote their vaccination status. Those who have not been inoculated would not receive a wristband, and may be barred from shopping in some stores.

The reporter detailed a third story of attacks on coffee shops that were giving out free coffee to people who were either vaccinated or unvaccinated in Berlin.

The campaign against the coffee shops was launched by a German newspaper– something Story says is all too similar to WWII Germany.

Last week, chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor, Olaf Scholz, imposed a lockdown for the unvaccinated.

“We have understood that the situation is very serious and that we want to take further measures in addition to those already taken. The fourth wave must be broken and this has not yet been achieved,” Merkel said at a press conference earlier this month.

Twitter users were appalled by the authoritarian developments in Germany:
