Not to put too fine a point on how evil people can be, but a pair of muggers cornered a Los Angeles mother before running off with her diaper bag and a cooler from inside her child’s stroller.

The Los Angeles Police Department is working on finding the dastardly duo who allegedly targeted a young woman as she was in her own driveway. The “crime of opportunity” occurred as the mechanical gates were closing, at which time the pair, being described as two young black men in their 20s, walked past the location, only to circle back and slip into the gate. They reportedly forced the young woman’s back against the wall, and then made off with her diaper bag and bottle cooler.

It was then that police allege they fled to a silver vehicle and escaped the scene. Law enforcement believe they spotted the young woman by herself with her child, and thought she would be an easy target in the wealthy neighborhood of Hancock Park. They posted video of the attack in the hopes that someone would be able to identify the alleged muggers and help the mother find justice.

“Robbery occurred Nov. 28 around 5:10pm in Hancock Park. Both suspects described as a male, Black, 20-29 yrs old, in a silver sedan with tinted windows, who targeted a female & her infant returning home. Any info call Wilshire Detectives (213) 922-8217 or lacrimestoppers.org.”

Crime has been rising through the roof in California with so-called “smash and grab” robberies becoming more and more common.

On Wednesday, BizPac Review reported that San Francisco police lieutenant Tracy McCray visited Fox News to decry the liberal policies in her state that are making it possible for these kinds of crimes to happen.

“I will say a lot now, you mention the D.A. (Chesa Boudin,) the recall that is happening, 83,000 signatures, they want to blame the Republicans. We don’t have 83,000 Republicans in San Francisco,” McCray emphasized. “No, we don’t. So it’s a cross-section of people who are now fed up. The west portal area just had a sideshow which had set people off so we know what we need to do, let’s just have the guts to do it and stop talking about it. It’s incredibly frustrating, but even as frustrated as we are, we are still willing to show up and to do our job and I wish our other partners in the justice system would just do theirs.”
