Dr. Anthony Fauci has once again flexed his left-wing political bona fides by aiming a blatantly politically charged attack at Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.
He lodged the attack after being asked during a “Face the Nation” interview that aired Sunday about the senator’s demands that be prosecuted for lying to Congress.
“Yeah. I have to laugh at that. I should be prosecuted? What happened on Jan. 6, senator?” the Biden administration bureaucrat snidely said in response.
A group of rioters broke into the U.S. Capitol and attempted to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election. Although Cruz had nothing to do with the rioters’ actions, he’s been linked to them by members of the left because of his legal, constitutionally valid challenge of the 2020 presidential election results.

Interviewer Margaret Brennan followed up by asking a leading question.
“Do you think that this is about making you a scapegoat to deflect from President Trump?” she asked without specifying in what regard.
“Of course, you have to be asleep not to figure that one out,” Fauci replied in agreement, meaning he apparently had intuitively understood what she was talking about.
“Well, there are a lot of Republican senators taking aim at this,” Brennan pressed further, referencing the desire in the GOP to see Fauci held accountable.
“That’s OK, I’m just going to do my job and I’m going to be saving lives and they’re going to be lying,” Fauci replied, projecting his own lies onto his critics.
Brennan then made another stunningly leading, biased remark.
“It just, it seems, another layer of danger to play politics around matters of life and death,” she said.
This provided Fauci with the impetus to launch into a lengthy rant about how he’s just trying to “save people’s lives.”
Brennan made no attempts to push back on his boastfulness by pointing out how many times he’s flipped his positions and/or been dead wrong.
There was also no recognition from her, a so-called “journalist,” about why Cruz had called for Fauci’s prosecution while speaking with Attorney General Merrick Garland during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing two months ago.
“At a senate hearing in May Dr. Fauci said, quote, ‘The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain a function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.’ That was under oath under testimony,” the senator said to the AG at the time.
“On October 20th, the NIH principal, deputy director, in writing, directly contradicted it. Those two statements cannot be true.”
Meaning, in other words, that Fauci had lied.

But despite being caught lying, he’s refused to waver from his stubborn insistence that he’s always told the truth — even when he was lying.
The lies have been so bold that even the left-wingers at Slate have sought to hold him to task, with two writers noting over the summer that his “destructive” lies were eroding the American people’s trust in the nation’s institutions.
“When experts or agencies deliver information to the public that they consider possibly or definitively false to further a larger, often well-meaning agenda, they are telling what is called a noble lie,” they wrote.
“Although the teller’s intentions may be pure—for example, a feeling of urgency that behavioral change is needed among the lay public—the consequences can undermine not only those intentions but also public trust in experts and science.”
Fauci lied about the need for masks but excused it by claiming he didn’t want doctors and nurses to run out. Fauci then lied about herd immunity but excused it by claiming the public hadn’t been ready for the real truth.
His lies run so deep that when famed pollster Frank Luntz asked a focus group about him last spring, the group replied with words like “liar,” “self-serving” and “flip-flopper.”

Brennan didn’t mention the focus group during her interview with the Biden administration bureaucrat.
The rest of her interview sounded much the same, with her tossing out leading questions that allowed him to weave a narrative laced with Democrat Party talking points about masks, vaccines, etc.
At one point in the interview, he once again claimed he himself is science.
“It’s easy to criticize [me], but they’re really criticizing science because I represent science. That’s dangerous. To me, that’s more dangerous than the slings and the arrows that get thrown at me,” he said.
“I’m not going to be around here forever, but science is going to be here forever. And if you damage science, you are doing something very detrimental to society long after I leave. And that’s what I worry about.”
By dubbing himself science, he’s able to shut down criticism by claiming all criticism is an attack on science. But his critics say that their words are an attack specifically on the dubious brand of so-called “science” that he practices …
