Despite the left’s continuous criticism of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, his state is now boasting the nation’s lowest daily coronavirus cases per capita.
The Republican governor the Democrats and mainstream media love to hate has taken plenty of heat from critics over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Sunshine State, but he has proved the naysayers wrong again as Florida reported a two percent decrease in coronavirus cases over the last two weeks.
Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Florida ranked the lowest amount of new COVID-19 cases in the country per capita, with a daily average of 1,393 cases as of Friday.
Florida has the lowest confirmed covid cases in the country and infections have dropped 95% since kids returned to school in August.
All Ron DeSantis did was tell people to go out and live their life.

And while DeSantis has been vocal about his opposition to heavy-handed mandates from the Biden administration and has been pro-active in protecting Florida residents from the ongoing lockdowns and controversial restrictions, his Democratic counterparts who have done the opposite are feeling the effects.
Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer imposed strict coronavirus restrictions on Michigan residents throughout the pandemic and yet the state is now leading the nation in daily coronavirus cases per capita.

“Michigan leads the country in recent cases per capita. The state is averaging more than 8,000 new cases a day,” reported The New York Times, noting that a COVID-19 increase of about 25 percent has been noted over two weeks “fueled largely by worsening conditions in the Upper Midwest and Northeast.”
“Reports of new cases are up more than 80 percent over the last two weeks in Massachusetts and up more than 70 percent in Illinois,” the outlet noted in its latest map and case count.
Ron DeSantis should call a press conference in which he offers to explain to blue state governors all across the country how to bring their Covid cases to the lowest level in the nation, like Florida’s currently is

Despite the decrease in numbers in Florida, the Biden administration can’t seem to acknowledge the success of DeSantis’ strategies, with White House press secretary Jen Psaki even taking a shot at the GOP governor earlier in the week, accusing him of taking “steps backward” when it comes to battling the pandemic.
DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw touted the governor’s record and hopes other states can learn from his example.
“It just shows once again the success of Governor DeSantis’s science-based and data-based policies,” she told Fox News Digital in regard to the lower case levels in Florida.
“He’s always made decisions based on the data and that continued even during the Delta surge this summer what he realized would help was not mask mandates in school or lockdowns but provide treatment that actually works,” she added.
“He opened the 25 state-supported monoclonal antibody sites and provided that treatment all over the state free of charge to over 150,000 Floridians, saved thousands of lives, and that happened starting in August,” Pushaw said. “Since then our cases are down by over 95% with no restrictions on people’s freedom.”
Pushaw told Fox News that she “hopes” states experiencing a COVID surge such as Michigan and Minnesota will “learn from Florida’s experience” and steer away from the restrictive lockdowns which “we’ve seen time and time again” don’t work.
