A CBS News/YouGov poll released on Sunday shows the deep discontent and anger among Americans over skyrocketing inflation due to President Biden’s policies and his mishandling of the economy among a long list of other things.

The poll gave Biden a higher approval rating at 44 percent than other polls, however, his negative scores tell the real story here.

His numbers are abysmal with negative scores for his handling of inflation (67 percent), race relations (56 percent), immigration (64 percent), the economy (61 percent), and foreign policy (58 percent). Biden was in positive territory in the poll with the distribution of the coronavirus vaccine at 53 percent.

When those who were polled were asked how things are currently going in America, 70 percent said “somewhat” or “very badly,” while 30 percent said it was going “very” or “somewhat well.”

On the nation’s economy, 64 percent of those polled said it was “fairly” or “very bad.” Thirty percent said it’s “very” or “fairly good” according to the survey. The cause of a flagging economy is being correctly blamed by Americans on inflation, rising costs, gas prices, shortages of products and services, and businesses shutting down.

Due to increasing inflation, 80 percent of Americans are delaying buying big-ticket items, 79 percent are taking fewer trips, 78 percent are shopping less for gifts, and 71 percent are scaling back holiday celebrations. They can no longer afford what Americans have enjoyed for decades. Inflation is now reportedly seen as a hardship that is taking a massive toll on lower and middle-class Americans.

Both sides of the political aisle and Americans, in general, are incensed over Biden’s inflation with 82 percent now saying that items are costing more, 64 percent saying items are often out of stock, and 55 percent saying things are taking much longer to get to them.

The poll also claimed that 58 percent approve of his massive infrastructure bill and 42 percent disapprove.

Fifty-seven percent in the survey assert that Biden is “not tough enough” on immigration while 28 percent say he’s handling it “about right,” and only 15 percent believe he’s “too tough.”

As far as the compensation of illegal immigrants separated at the border goes, 63 percent believe they should not be compensated while 37 percent believe they should be.

Rising inflation and a tanking economy look to be the top priorities of Americans as the 2022 midterms approach which could spell very bad news for Biden and the Democrats.

And, as always, it should be noted that polls are extremely subjective:

While the poll attempted to spin its results in favor of Biden, the devastating downward spiral for the nation due to inflation can no longer be ignored or shrugged off.

The CBS News/YouGov poll surveyed 2,058 adults between Nov. 15-19. It has a plus/minus 3 percentage points margin of error.

Social media can’t figure out why anyone would think Biden’s handling of inflation is going well:
