The ex-girlfriend of former NFL star Zac Stacy spoke out for the first time yesterday after a video went viral last week showing the former running back brutally attacking her and slamming her into a television.
Stacy, who is accused of aggravated battery and criminal mischief, was arrested Friday morning at the Orlando International Airport. He was later released on bond set just over $10,000.
Kristin Evans, the mother of the ex-couples 5-month-old son, told WESH 2 News that she was fearful that if the former New York Jets player was released on bond that she and her children may not be safe.

“It’s overwhelming to think back,” Evans said, as she was engulfed with emotions.
“He has bullied me for so long that at one point, I believed it was my fault. It’s disturbing and disgusting to see things people have said online about what did I do. I did nothing. I never did anything to deserve something like this, no one could do anything to deserve something like this,” Evans said.
“The physical abuse began in May. I didn’t report it. I was pregnant at the time. I wanted my son’s dad to be there for me and for the birth of his first child. So I forgave him,” she explained.
Evans indicated that the disturbing video that she claims shows Stacy attacking her was just one small peek into the abuse she has suffered in the past several months.
“It was absolute hell and I know women have gone through worse. To feel what I felt, I can’t imagine for it to be worse,” Evans said.

Evans planned on attending the bond hearing to express her concerns, but it was rescheduled at the last minute and she did not have enough time to get there. Instead, she watched the painful proceedings online.
“That just doesn’t seem right especially given the fact the judge saw the video,” Thomas Feiter, an attorney representing Evans said. “He saw that horrific video of blatant egregious domestic violence committed on our client.”
“It was absolute hell and I know women have gone through worse. To feel what I felt, I can’t imagine for it to be worse,” Evans said.

The attorney’s representing Evans plan to file an emergency motion to request the bond be set at a significantly higher amount and that the former football player be electronically monitored.
