With its allegiance to identity politics perhaps above all else, could the Democrat Party establishment really be considering replacing Kamala Harris as U.S. vice president? Citing an insider, Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram has implied that it might be a possibility.

Speculation to that end seems to be growing in Washington, particularly given political gossip about infighting between Team Biden and Team Harris. This comes, for example, after CNN, in what might be a planted story, reported on alleged “entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus” from Harris and her staff.”

Jesse Watters, who was handling the anchor duties on “Fox News Primetime” on the Tuesday evening episode, teed up the segment for Pergram by alluding to “whispers suggesting there could be some new high-profile confirmation hearings on the horizon in the House of Representatives.”

“Why is this a big deal?” Watters asked rhetorically. “Because the House does not confirm normal nominees, but it does confirm vice-presidential nominees. Does this have something to do with Kamala Harris?

“It’s no secret she’s been running out of favor with the Biden team. Over the weekend, someone at the White House leaked several stories criticizing Kamala for her constant gaffes and awkward laugh.”

“The vice president’s office responded to those leaks by leaking a story of its own, calling the Biden team racist,” Watters continued.

He then tossed it to Pergram who said “There is a lot of conjecture right now about the future of Vice President Harris and her lagging poll numbers.”

He then played a clip of the P.A. announcer snubbing Harris at the signing ceremony for the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

“The faux pas was probably not intentional, but it underscored issues some have in the Biden administration with Harris. Now, here is a window into my world,” Pergram continued.

“As you know, I appreciate congressional process and mechanics. So I got a message recently from someone who knows Capitol Hill very well, and they suggested I should familiarize myself with the process to confirm a vacancy for the vice president in the Senate and in the House.

“To be clear — to be clear — this is not something to say that something is afoot here, but I always do my homework especially about process. Vice President Nelson Rockefeller, who served under President Ford, was the last vice president confirmed by Congress. The Senate and House must confirm a vice president,” the reporter concluded in his Fox News Alert.

Both President Biden and Vice President Harris, the latter who is supposedly in charge of resolving the ongoing illegal immigration surge at the U.S. southern border, are riding a huge wave of unpopularity as one unresolved crisis after another has engulfed the administration.

As a 2020 presidential candidate, the ex-California senator and state attorney general before that, dropped out of the campaign even before any votes were cast in the early Iowa Caucuses when she was registering just about three percent of the vote. Harris’ campaign was likely derailed when, on the debate stage, then-rival Tulsi Gabbard blasted her track record as a prosecutor.

Biden nonetheless picked her as his running mate, even though Harris assailed his commitment to civil rights commitment during one of the other Democrat primary debates.

In a biting commentary published on Tuesday, New York Post columnist Kyle Smith offered this assessment of the incumbent VP:

Why can’t a politician with years of service in the Senate manage to speak without sounding like a random word generator? Why does Harris laugh so awkwardly? Why does she keep wearing those rejected-by-Kohl’s pantsuits?…Americans tend to tolerate presidents who have proven to be stupid or incompetent, but Harris is downright weird…

It’s gotten so bad for Harris that even state media outlets such as CNN are regretfully informing the public that she just ain’t got what it takes…

As fellow Democrats unload on her behind the scenes, she is firing back (also behind the scenes) that criticism of her must be racist and/or sexist. Because racism and sexism are indeed proud traditions in the Democratic Party, the magical talismanic potency of those two words has party solons fearing that they’ll get stuck with her leading the 2024 presidential ticket, with a 1980-style drubbing sure to follow…
