Kyle Rittenhouse’s mother bluntly told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday that President Biden defamed her son when he tweeted a video a year ago suggesting the teen was a white supremacist, allegedly for votes in order to win the presidential election.

Wendy Rittenhouse gave her first interview on “Hannity,” speaking just hours after the defense rested in her son’s high-profile trial.

Hannity asked her, “When the then-candidate, now president of the United States, and other elected officials, that don’t know anything about your son refer to him as a white supremacist, I have yet to see any evidence whatsoever that he is such a person. When prominent people say that, how did that impact you and how did it impact him?”

“When I saw that I was shocked, I was angry,” she told Hannity. “President Biden don’t know my son whatsoever, and he’s not a white supremacist. He’s not a racist. And [Biden] did that for the votes.”

“And I was so angry for a while at him and what he did to my son, he defamed him,” the mother asserted.

The distraught mother of three also said when she watched the tape shown at trial, “I see this man trying to kick my son in the face …. When I look at the video with that guy pointing a gun to my son’s head, I thought: he was going to die.”

Wendy Rittenhouse added that her son “has a lot of healing to do” and is subject to “nightmares.”

Hannity asked if the mother believed her son received a fair trial.

“The judge is very fair. The people that I talked to that lived in Kenosha all their lives, they told me that Judge Schroeder is a very fair judge and he doesn’t allow no-nonsense [sic] in his courtroom,” she stated.

Biden tweeted in September 2020 when running for the presidency, “there’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night.”

The president’s post included a 50-second clip that referenced a question Fox News host Chris Wallace asked then-President Trump during a presidential debate about whether he was willing “to condemn white supremacists and militia groups” following riots and violence in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and other American cities.

The clip also included an image of Rittenhouse wielding a semi-automatic rifle.

Wendy Rittenhouse drove her son to Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Aug. 25, 2020, while the riots were occurring after the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Blake, who was 29-years-old at the time, was paralyzed from the waist down as a result.

Rittenhouse was given a gun by a friend, Dominick Black, while in Kenosha, according to testimony. He did not bring the AR-15 across state lines as some in the media have erroneously reported. Black was charged with two counts of intentionally giving a dangerous weapon to a minor, causing death, according to a criminal complaint.

Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with intentional homicide for killing Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, as well as attempted homicide for wounding Gaige Grosskreutz during riots in Kenosha over the police shooting of Blake. He was also charged with possessing a weapon by a person under 18, and multiple counts of reckless endangerment.

He is claiming self-defense and closing arguments and jury deliberations are set to begin next week.

Kyle Rittenhouse and his family are strongly supported by millions of Americans:
