Social media is buzzing over Carrie Underwood’s reaction to a joke at Wednesday’s Country Music Association Awards when the superstar artist appeared to express displeasure after host Luke Bryan uncorked a jab that was directed at Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has been vilified by the media and the blue check thought police who relentlessly prowl Twitter seeking to root out and humiliate any who do not conform to the official narrative, especially the COVID vaccine which the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player has been savaged for after he tested positive for the virus after he previously said that he had been “immunized,” a grave and unforgivable sin.
When Bryan took his shot at Rodgers during the opening monologue, cameras zoomed in on Underwood whose “side-eye” spoke volumes over one of the political jibes that have become commonplace at awards shows, although the CMA hasn’t gone to the lengths of other celebrity showcases which have been saturated with divisive leftist rants that have alienated millions of viewers.
“We’re following all the health protocols to keep everyone safe and it’s so great to be here with all my fellow artists, tested and together,” Brian joked, “Or immunized? Who is it? Just playin’!”
One of Rodgers’ defenders is former NHL player Mike Fisher who is married to Underwood and who took to Instagram to speak out in favor of the embattled gunslinger, standing up for his right to make his own decisions regarding his personal medical health and lambasting major sports leagues for “ignoring the science and choosing to coerce and punish unvaccinated players,” a post that was liked by Underwood much to the dismay of the mob.

According to Fisher, “I believe in the freedom to choose what we put in our bodies and the freedom of conscience. I agree with him in that the science clearly shows the vaccinated spread covid at basically the same rate as the unvaccinated,”
“The @nhl @nfl and other leagues are ignoring the science and choosing to coerce and punish unvaccinated players with these restrictions. If they really cared about people’s health they would have daily testing for all,” he wrote. “But these past 2 years has clearly shown us that this is not about our health, it’s about control over our lives. I won’t stand for that. It’s time to fight for our medical freedom and I feel for those that have been fired for choosing medical freedom. People losing their jobs over a medical choice is un-American and unacceptable. We need to stand up now before it’s too late!!”
Twitter reacted to Underwood’s awkward CMA moment.
So Like Bryan called out Aaron Rodgers in his opening monologue for being unvaccinated &stated he was happy everyone there was then Carrie Underwood gave him the side eye because her husband Mike Fisher agrees with Rodgers about being unvaccinated & advocates against the vaccine

we’re only ten minutes into the #CMAawards and my favourite part of the show will be Luke Bryan talking about being immunized and then panning to Carrie Underwood after Mike Fisher’s vaccine comments this week 😂

Luke makes the comment about who isn’t vaccinated and the camera pans to Carrie Underwood. I spit out my water. 😂 #CMAs

The chilly look anti vaxxers and Aaron Rodgers sympathizers Carrie Underwood and her hockey husband gave Luke Bryan after his excellent burn about being immunized was priceless but not as much as my face when I saw Susan Sarandon in the audience. Why? #CMAS2021

I’ve lost total respect for @carrieunderwood 🤮. Siding with Aaron Rodgers and doing a duet with Jason Alstupid ~ totally disappointed in the ignorance. I guess you can dress up stupidity.

Don’t put the camera on Carrie Underwood during the Aaron Rodgers “immunized” joke…. She’s on Aaron’s side. #cmas 👎🏻

Rodgers has been all but declared public enemy number one as his choice to not get jabbed has resulted in widespread antagonism from figures including Fox News football analyst and NFL Hall Of Famer Terry Bradshaw who accused him of being a liar while invoking the dishonest “cattle dewormer” trope to describe the drug ivermectin, as well as talk radio personality Howard Stern who called for him to be thrown out of the NFL.
Underwood’s approval of her husband’s defense of Rodgers led to her being pilloried in yet another version of George Orwell’s “Two Minutes Hate” on Twitter. She has previously been savaged by the unhinged authority-worshipping leftists for liking a tweet from conservative Matt Walsh after he showed up to blister a Nashville school board over forced masking.

Those who still believe in traditional American values and especially freedom will continue to be attacked for any deviation from the Biden administration and celebrities who have elevated profiles represent a major problem for the ruling establishment.
