Psychologist and author Jordan Peterson blew a gasket on “The Rubin Report” over the Canadian government’s tyranny concerning COVID vaccinations and being forced to be tested constantly when he travels in or out of the country.
“Canadians that are unvaccinated cannot leave the country… like, What the hell, why is that? Look, I got vaccinated, and people took me to task for that, and I thought, all right, I’ll get the damn vaccine,” Peterson said.
“Here’s the deal, guys: I’ll get the vaccine, you f***ing leave me alone. And did that work? No. So, stupid me,” he continued. “That’s how I feel about it. So, like, well, I have to get tested for COVID when I come back into Canada. I have to get tested before I leave Canada. … Why did I get the vaccine then if you’re not going to leave me alone?” he railed.
Prior to that statement, Peterson discussed how the West is progressing towards becoming a totalitarian state using the pandemic as a launching pad.
“The thing that surprised me the most, probably, was how rapidly we stampeded to imitate a totalitarian state in the immediate aftermath of the release of COVID. You know, if you think it through a little bit, no one really knew how serious the virus was going to be, and so it was an unknown threat. And so you could imagine a herd of animals or a school of fish, for that matter, because this kind of phenomena is universal throughout the animal kingdom,” he pointed out.
“The cost of overreacting to a threat is generally minimal compared to underreacting to a real threat. Overreacting to a hypothetical threat is cheap compared to underreacting to an actual threat because if you underreact you could die, whereas if you overreact you generally just get tired for a minute,” Peterson noted.
“So a herd will stampede because the most neurotic member of the herd jumps first, and then they’ll instantly follow them,” he elaborated. “And that’s kind of what we did in the early stages of the pandemic. The Chinese acted first — now, unfortunately, they are a totalitarian state — and we all followed. And that’s excusable in some sense because we didn’t know what sort of threat we were facing.”
“But then, the breakdown — it’s really appalling in Canada — the breakdown of our rights, let’s say, for mobility, for freedom of speech, etc., it’s particularly grating to me in the Canadian context because way back in the 80s, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, our current prime minister’s father, who was quite an intellectual, he was very enamored of French civil law, and he grafted a bill of rights on top of the Canadian federal common law structure essentially, and I didn’t like that at all; I thought that was a bastardization of a great English common law tradition,” he recounted.
“I’m not a fan of bills of rights because they’re predicated on the idea that you have a finite set of rights and that the social contract awards them to you or to the government. And I think that’s backwards,” Peterson asserted.
The acclaimed intellectual also spoke with a senior advisor to one of the provincial parties, who told him that COVID policy is “driven by nothing but opinion polls.”
“Policy is being driven by people who are more afraid than they should be,” Peterson remarked.
“I wouldn’t say I’m cynical about governments exactly… But I still found that extremely disheartening,” he stated. “I thought, at least, policies that I don’t agree with, the restrictive policies, were at least driven by something remotely resembling a scientifically informed plan, and [the senior advisor] was irate at what had been happening. Enough to consider resigning.”
“It’s extraordinarily annoying to see this happening, and then to find out there’s nothing behind it besides the most instrumental and cowardly, random polling is extremely disheartening, and also maddening, and angering. All of those things at once,” Peterson commented.
Peterson is not the only one annoyed with tyrannical COVID mandates and political posturing. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is also fed up with the browbeating over the issue and the unconstitutionality of it all.
“We have got to stop trying to browbeat people,” DeSantis asserted, according to Orlando Weekly. “From the very beginning, we’ve said, let’s not put people down, let’s lift people up. That’s what we are going to be doing, and we are going to be saving a lot of jobs in the state of Florida.”
His comment was made in reference to OSHA being weaponized in the state of Florida to enforce President Joe Biden’s mandate that employers with more than 100 workers get them fully vaccinated or force them to submit to weekly testing and mandatory mask-wearing. If they don’t they will be hit with massive fines and penalties. The state of Florida is now considering booting OSHA in connection to governmental overreach.
Many feel just as Peterson does on vaccine mandates:
Jordan Peterson is my spirit animal on this one. This is exactly why many people (like me) who were on the fence got the dam shot . . . But still it’s not enough some people need to learn to leave others the _______ alone!

Jordan is absolutely correct. While I don’t have country to country travel issues…I got it to avoid the hassle of living in Madison (Dane County), WI…and of course it didn’t change anything…we’re now on our 4th “emergency” masking mandate extension since September 🙄

It was never about health.. its all about compliance and control to push us towards a QR-society with digital checks paired to a social credit score. Saw this one coming when the lockdowns started happening and so many open and leaked documents from the WEF that prove this story

awaken everyone, this is about control.

everyone will wake up to this realization at some point, unfortunately for many, it will be too late

They’ll never leave you alone, now we must fight back for our freedom, or it will get very ugly
— Harry Tuttle (@bogdanmihaifil1) November 10, 2021
Yup, feeling the same more each day. There is not seem to be any good will anymore, particularly with regard to Covid. And what happens when good will dies?

I’m beginning to feel exactly like that. I’m vaccinated, now leave me the **** alone.
