MSNBC roasted for 7 stages of grief in election night meltdown

MSNBC hosts had a massive meltdown on Tuesday night as Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial faceoff, setting the stage for a 2022 midterm election romp that could turn both the Senate and the House red.

Conservatives flocked to MSNBC to watch the carnage as the evening progressed with Youngkin sustaining his lead over McAuliffe. It was must-see TV for many conservatives and briefly boosted the sagging network’s ratings. The word spread quickly on Twitter that liberals were once again coming unglued over losing.

Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Nicolle Wallace were all dumbstruck by McAuliffe’s trouncing. They were unable to hide their bitterness and pettiness which Twitter picked up on. They voiced excuse after excuse concerning McAuliffe’s loss and lamely vowed to take down their conservative enemies.

The MSNBC hosts declared that Critical Race Theory doesn’t exist and insinuated that dumb parents were fooled by Republicans over it. They just couldn’t believe that parents dared to fight back against progressive ideology being forced on their children in school.

Wallace whined that Youngkin “put” Donald Trump’s “disgusting, flagrant out racism” “in a disguise,” and “wrapped” his campaign “in two Big Lies” that he opposed the January 6 Capitol riot and that he would ban Critical Race Theory.

She accused Youngkin of supporting the January 6 protest because “[Youngkin] flew an insurrection flag at [his] rally” and said that banning CRT would be “like us banning ghosts” since “there are no ghosts.” Youngkin has denied flying an insurrection flag at his rally and claims the assertion is simply not true.

“There isn’t Critical Race Theory taught… [H]e’s given it a lie as a label and he said he’s going to ban it. There isn’t any Critical Race Theory. It’s a legal theory not taught in public schools in Virginia,” Wallace proclaimed.

Reid argued that in a Youngkin Republican Party, schools will be banned from “teach[ing] the truth about Thomas Jefferson” or discussing slavery because they’re things that make “white parent[s] uncomfortable.”

“He’s found a way to launder a pretty racist trope, this idea that we cannot talk about America’s history, because it hurts my feelings,” she stated while ironically claiming that Critical Race Theory doesn’t exist.

Maddow went on to complain that Youngkin and his allies have had the Fox News Channel to help create a narrative concerning CRT “even though it’s not actually taught anywhere” or even “a real thing.”

Maddow, Reid, and Wallace called conservatives “dangerous” human beings who are a threat “to our national security.” They also branded them racists “in fleece” promoting “lies” about Critical Race Theory (CRT), according to Newsbusters.

“MSNBC is currently going through the 7 stages of grief on an endless loop in real time,” radio host Buck Sexton gleefully tweeted. “It’s great, highly recommend.”

“If you want to give yourself a treat, turn on MSNBC,” Ann Coulter said as the results began to roll in and the hosts began to lose it.

National Review’s critic Kyle Smith noted, “Every conservative I know is watching MSNBC.”

“It’s early yet but MSNBC is pulling a bit ahead in the election meltdown. Still waiting for returns from some of CNN’s more loyal viewers and the late night returns but Joy Reid looks to be pulling away early. Still too close to call though,” conservative pundit Stephen Miller snarked.

MSNBC benefited from the mockery ironically. Their ratings indicate that they can use all the visitors they can get these days – good or bad. October was a horrific month in ratings for the liberal network. It was the lowest-rated month for MSNBC among the demographic of adults aged 25-54 since October 2015, according to Fox News. It was also its worst month for the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. since December of 2015.

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck pointed out that the network turned to Democrat Eric Adam’s New York City mayor victory speech when they realized that McAuliffe was toast.

“That’s how you know it’s been a really bad night for liberals,” Houck posited.

He contended that Joy Reid was the worst of the lot on MSNBC during the collective meltdown.

“Five minutes after polls closed, Reid peddled the lie that Youngkin ran a racist campaign to ban Toni Morrison from schools and held out hope for Democrat Terry McAuliffe on the basis of black voters who were scared that Youngkin ‘would purge’ books about W.E.B. DuBois and Martin Luther King Jr. from schools,” Houck remarked.

“All of the people on MSNBC convincing themselves that all of these VA voters — who voted for Biden a year ago! — are idiots, racists, and/or dupes is pretty wild,” The Dispatch editor-in-chief Jonah Goldberg commented.

“I hope someone makes a compilation of the MSNBC and CNN meltdowns going on right now over Youngkin’s victory,” journalist Ian Miles Cheong wrote.

Republicans swept Virginia last night while conservatives celebrated and MSNBC imploded.
