Joy Reid has a proper meltdown over Youngkin surging in Virginia

MSNBC’s Joy Reid continues to push the envelope of her own madness and Trump derangement. On her show, “The ReidOut” the host launched into a litany of falsities and hyperbole over the Virginia gubernatorial election, specifically targeting Glenn Youngkin (R), who is reportedly pulling ahead of former VA governor and Democratic Party leech, Terry McAuliffe (D) in the race.

Reid worried on-air that if elected, Glenn Youngkin would surely undo “progressive laws” implemented by outgoing Governor Ralph Northam (D). She also falsely accused Youngkin of being “against racial inclusiveness in schools and says an abortion ban in Virginia is appropriate.”

Naturally, and as she is part of the leftist media, Reid won’t be fact-checked on her outrageous claims. She asked Democratic strategist Cornell Belcher:

“So, can you explain why it’s even close, when you have a Trump-backed Republican who’s vowing to turn it basically into a mini-Texas on abortion and who’s, you know, out there doing the — whining about Critical Race Theory, which isn’t taught in Virginia schools?”

Actually, Glenn Youngkin has stated he would not sign an abortion bill similar to the Texas bill into law. In addition, for Reid to say that CRT is not taught in Virginia schools is rather audacious gaslighting, especially considering that Loudoun Co. is ground-zero for the ongoing fight against CRT in schools and the role of parents in their children’s education as a whole.

Then, the crazed Trump-hater went so far as to suggest a ban on Republicans attaining any office in government.

She contends that “giving any Republican power seems so dangerous” as, no matter where they stand in the political spectrum, they will be actively “trying to steal the 2024 election for Trump.”

Drawing her predictable conclusion, Reid said that Youngkin is “no different than any other Republican” and voters need to “pay attention…because it’s the ones who try to sneak in under the radar, a lot of times they’re even worse.”

On her Tuesday show, she gave an encore performance of trepidation, railing against Youngkin and white people in general because a woman appeared in a campaign ad from Youngkin, wherein she called for the removal of Toni Morrison’s novel “Beloved” from school curricula.

She asserted that “Glenn Trumpkin” was engaging in race-baiting by running a campaign “based on…the delicate feelings of conservative-ish white suburbanites” while “pouring high octane gasoline on cultural anxiety over jobs and societal change and weaponizing anything that makes white Christians feel icky”

So, she doesn’t like Christians either, one presumes.

Reid continued with the vitriol, claiming that Youngkin and his party were against books on Martin Luther King Jr., “facts and knowledge,” trans children, and “masks and vaccines” because, she oddly suggested, they prevent people from killing with COVID.

In reality, Youngkin released an ad in support of the vaccine, encouraging Virginians to get it.

One of her panelists during the block was New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg, who made the ridiculous contention that “Youngkin and surrogates have been running and demagogue-ing (not a word) about trans kids in schools and trans bathrooms and there was a horrible rape of a — of a — of a high school girl in Virginia that they’ve been using and sort of exploiting to act as if trans people are predators.”
