Co-hosts Geraldo Rivera and Greg Gutfeld got into a throw-down on “The Five” Tuesday concerning Terry McAuliffe, who is running for governor in Virginia, and the sexual assault of two students in Loudoun County.
Co-host Jesse Watters started off the segment by reporting a walkout by hundreds of Loudoun County students in protest over a sexual assault that the school board is being accused of covering up.
Gutfeld was disgusted by the lack of coverage in the case and called it “an indictment of the corporate press.”
“Why is nobody talking about this crime? Now we know that it’s true. The rapist has pled guilty. And no one would have known about this if it wasn’t for the dad of the victim being arrested and humiliated and called a domestic terrorist by the school board!… They covered this thing up for the sake of an election!” Gutfeld angrily declared.
He went on to point out that the other reason it may have been covered up was that “there was some sympathy towards the suspect and some antipathy towards the victim.”
“But if you vote for Terry McAuliffe, you’re voting for the same corrupt system that condoned a rape because the suspect may have worn a skirt. Who knows? But if you vote for Terry McAuliffe, you’re voting for rape!” Gutfeld contended which set Rivera off.
Rivera derisively laughed at the statement, “That is the most outrageous thing.”
“That father scared the hell out of me,” he proclaimed.
“What would you do, Geraldo, if it was one of your family members?” Gutfeld asked him. “You would kill them!”
“I’m merely telling you as a consumer of news that dad was way over the top,” Rivera lamely replied.
“How can you not be over the top?! Your kid got raped!” Gutfeld snapped.
“I agree that it is outrageous the crime that was committed,” Rivera equivocated. “I think it’s horrifying. I also think that it’s way, way exception to the rule as these kids struggle with gender identity… A guy wearing a skirt is not the definition of all these kids struggling.”
“I’m the father of a 16-year-old…” he began.
“You should be pissed!” Gutfeld told him.
“I see these other children as they go through these various changes. We’re in the midst of something,” Rivera deflected.
“You get more angry over people who don’t get the frickin’ vaccine than you are over a rapist!” an enraged Gutfeld stated.
“That’s total bullcrap,” Rivera responded.
“Would you care about this rape if that guy didn’t have a skirt on? Would you?!” Rivera outrageously asked Gutfeld.
“I did!” Gutfeld adamantly declared. “I said that when I started, you didn’t hear me! I said forget about the skirt! I said that!”
This all started with a gender-fluid 15-year-old boy in a skirt reportedly raping a ninth-grade girl in a bathroom at Stone Bridge High School in Loudoun County, Virginia on May 28. The attacker would go on to assault another girl at a different high school.
The incident came to light after the father of the first girl spoke up at a Loudoun County school board meeting on June 22 and then was tackled, bloodied, and arrested after he got into a verbal fight with another parent who asserted his daughter had not been raped. The superintendent also claimed there had been no sexual assaults on school property by transgender students.
The National School Boards Association would go on to write a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland warning about irate parents and how situations could rise to the level of domestic terrorism, using the father as an example.
The student who attacked the girls was found guilty this week of the Stone Bridge High School sexual assault.
“The teenager, now 15, is also charged with the sexual assault of another student that occurred months later at a different Loudoun school. Loudoun County juvenile court Chief Judge Pamela L. Brooks said she would wait to sentence the teen until that case is decided in November,” the Washington Post reported. “The judge’s finding is the juvenile court equivalent of a guilty verdict in other courts.”
Many agree with Gutfeld on McAuliffe and think Rivera needs to go:
I still cannot believe there’s hardly any outrage and most of the media is quiet on this! 🤬

@Suzannescott Time to replace Rivera on The Five. Today he demonstrated poor listening skills with Gutfeld (Boy wearing a skirt – rape case suppressed by the school board and the press). .@TheFive

#TheFive Geraldo dropped to a new level of stupidity….actually discounted the rape of a girl in a Loudon County school as “over the top” reaction by the victim’s father after he erupted at a school board meeting that would not let him speak. And the BOD HID IT!! Geraldo gotta go

Can’t believe-how nonchalant Geraldo seemed to be about a girl being raped at her school. #TheFive
