‘Badass!’ Fast-acting Marine who thwarted armed thugs drops end of clip zinger on Fox

A U.S. Marine veteran who is seen in a viral video disabling an armed man as he allegedly attempted to rob a Yuma, Ariz., gas station gave an interesting sign-off following an interview with Fox News on Thursday.

The vet, James Kilcer, said that he was standing at the counter talking to the clerk around 4:30 in the morning when suddenly three men appeared at the door, two of whom came inside. One of the alleged robbers quickly brandished a handgun and began pointing it at the clerk.

Instantly, Kilcer sprang into action, grabbed the suspect’s hand that was holding the handgun, and moved aggressively at him as the two of them disappeared from the security camera’s view. The second man who came into the store with the first appeared to fall backward, quickly got up, and then disappeared back through the entrance.

Kilcer was holding a bag filled with items he had just purchased, explaining to Fox News host Dana Perino that his intention was to use that hand to control the suspect’s head but he forgot he was holding energy drinks and snacks, the bag then acting as a club of sorts and striking the subject alongside his head. He went on to say the store clerk jumped over the counter and ran out the front door to see where the other suspects had gone.

After explaining that he takes his personal security seriously and that his military training helped “somewhat” due to “muscle memory,” Perino moved to end the interview by offering to buy Kilcer a beer.

“And remember: Epstein didn’t kill himself,” the former Marine said, a reference to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who reportedly killed himself while in lockup in New York awaiting trial in late 2019. Questions surrounding the official narrative have persisted since.

Social media users enjoyed Kilcer’s remark about Epstein.

The incident occurred at a Chevron gas station in Yuma on Wednesday. The 14-year-old suspect with the gun was arrested and taken to a juvenile facility nearby.

“Upon arrival, Deputies learned of three suspects entering the Chevron, one of them armed with a handgun,” said a press release from the Yuma County Sheriff’s office.

“The armed suspect walked next to a store customer while pointing the weapon toward the cashier when the customer acted immediately and disarmed him. The other two suspects fled the area when they witnessed their fellow criminal stopped. The customer was able to detain the suspect he disarmed until law enforcement arrived,” the release added.

“The suspect detained during the incident was a juvenile and was booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault. The other two suspects are still currently outstanding,” it continued.
