‘We have to come together’: Jason Whitlock rails against the emasculation of men, but sees signs of hope

Sportswriter and conservative icon Jason Whitlock appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Thursday where he presented the opinion that men are being “emasculated” in the American culture of today. He recently said as much in his column at The Blaze.

Tucker asked Whitlock to summarize the piece for viewers.

“My argument is that men are being emasculated. We are being castrated, particularly those of us with traditional Christian values, and I can’t say that Kyrie Irving or Dave Chappelle are aware of the larger deal that is going on with men, but they can feel it,” he said.

He defended Irving, citing the fact that the NBA star is the picture of health, but yet the Brooklyn Nets have benched the point guard and former NBA champ (Cleveland) in an effort to force the vaccine upon him even though there is no evidence to suggest that he’s at risk if he doesn’t take the vaccine.

Whitlock said, “He [Irving] is willing to be a voice for all these other Americans and force a conversation that needs to happen because no one else is standing up for these people.”

He said that thankfully, men like Irving and comedian Dave Chapelle are pushing back against a culture that sees traditional male values as anathema under the hobnailed boot of leftism.

“Dave Chappelle has this feeling … as a black man, and as someone with traditional male values, I don’t know whether Dave is a Christian or Muslim or whatever, but he has male energy,” he continued. “He is being forced into the closet about his beliefs. Again, those of us with traditional male energy, male values, Christian values, we are having to conceal who we are in this modern American culture, and it is good to see Dave Chappelle push back.”

In his column, Whitlock writes, “Black men are escaping the cages that the matriarchy, the LGBTQ movement, and liberal orthodoxy constructed to tame, house, and emasculate us over the last six decades.”

“It’s OK to be a man. A heterosexual one. A Christian man. A religious man. A masculine man. It’s OK to see yourself as a provider, a protector, a leader, a conqueror. Don’t feel any pressure to tap into your feminine side, to believe men can get pregnant or that there’s virtue in wearing a dress,” he wrote.

He noted during his interview with Tucker that the key point is that all men with traditional values need to come together, regardless of skin color, and fight back against the continuing drive to emasculate men in our culture. From the Great Society to the proliferation of the welfare state, the Left, he says, have succeeded in getting the black man out of the nuclear family, and they are coming for white men now.

“If we don’t come together, those of us that believe in a higher power, those of us that believe in God and Jesus, those of us with traditional male values, if we don’t come together, regardless of our skin color, we are all going down,” Whitlock said.

He concluded, “This country will force us all into the closet, and then when they are done forcing us into the closet, they are just going to eliminate us from this culture. It is in the process of happening. We have to come together, Tucker.”

Tucker responded, “I think what you just said is inspiring. I don’t know why people haven’t been saying this for decades, but I hope people will listen to what you just said, read your piece, and realize that the time is short.”
