Judge Jeanine rips Biden ‘or whoever is running the joint’ for infringing ‘more and more on our freedom’

Judge Jeanine Pirro had some strong words on Saturday regarding the Department of Justice crackdown on parents in conflict with school boards.

The recent memo released by the Justice Department has inspired a great deal of controversy, with proponents saying it is necessary to protect the rights of school board members from unlawful threats, and opponents viewing it as nothing short of a declaration of war against politically opposed parents.

On Pirro’s Fox News show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, she castigated the President Joe Biden and his administration, or rather “whoever is running the join,” a comment on the perceived control Biden’s handlers have over him.

“Every day in this country the government under Joe Biden, or whoever is running the joint, infringes more and more on our freedom, pushing Americans closer and closer to the edge,” she said.

Pirro could potentially be alluding to the speculation on an imminent civil war with her take on the Biden administration repeatedly antagonizing Americans with its authoritarian and heavy-handed handling of everything from Covid-19 to political dissent.

Pirro tore into Attorney General Merrick Garland over the memo.

“The latest, the attorney general of the United States instructing the Department of Justice and the FBI to address threats against school boards and teachers over masks and critical race theory saying those threats should be discouraged and prosecuted. [The memo] reads that, quote, constitutional protections don’t extend to efforts to intimidate individuals based on their views.”

The Fox News host then launched into a legal “primer,” explaining how the First Amendment works: “The constitution protects action and speech where individuals seek a redress of their grievance. Now, however, the [Attorney General] seeks to remove that constitutional right if you are a parent concerned about how your child are being taught.”

Pirro noted that there has been deafening silence regarding the harassment campaign against Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), that has extended to following her into the bathroom and even onto her flights, among other things.

“It’s okay to follow a U.S. Senator into a bathroom and threat onto take her out of office,” she said. “It’s okay for Black Lives Matter rioters to intimidate and burn down our businesses. But mama, don’t think about objecting to the ideological racial hatred being hoisted upon your own children. This is viewpoint discrimination, which is particularly disfavored by the courts, because it restricts speech on a given subject matter.”

The hypocrisy over the non-response to the harassment against Sinema versus the mobilized might of the federal government’s law enforcement agency against upset parents was noted in her scathing commentary, as Pirro pointed out that law enforcement is not free to selectively enforce harassment laws, nor even to criminalize speech except in very narrow circumstances.

“With limited exceptions, the government cannot pick and choose what speech is acceptable and what will be seen as threatening,” she explained. “The singling out of a particular opinion is view point discrimination. The constitution and Supreme Court agree that even hate speech is protected though I’m not suggesting that’s what’s happening here. But the left is all in.”

As Pirro pointed out, this decision is almost certain to amplify the already staggering political polarization and disunity in America, as public backlash continues to grow, as seen in Biden’s falling poll numbers, and the record number of Americans favoring dismembering the nation.
