Left-wing activists, who only days ago were making light of the ongoing harassment being faced by Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, are now up in arms over an allegedly “dangerous” mean tweet directed at the press.

The tweet was posted Wednesday by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ press secretary, Christina Pushaw, and reads as follows: “Fun fact: ‘AP” stands for ‘Activist Progressives.'”

It was posted presumably in response to the Associated Press’s publication of a dubious “fact-check” claiming that the National School Boards Association “didn’t ask President Joe Biden to label protesting parents ‘domestic terrorists.'”

In response to this simple, mocking tweet, left-wing activist Andrew Dolberg cried foul.

This is straight up dangerous from @GovRonDeSantis’s press secretary. We can’t undermine objective reporting,” he tweeted.

His LinkedIn profile shows that he works as director of strategic initiatives at MDW Communications, a left-wing activist firm “specializing in digital and direct mail for progressive campaigns and causes throughout the United States.”

The hyperbolic tweet left many, including Pushaw, extraordinarily confused.

The latter Twitter user was correct in his observation that the AP has repeatedly run fraudulent “fact-checks” on Pushaw’s boss, Gov. DeSantis.

Dolberg responded to the backlash and continues to respond to it by posting pouty tweets trashing DeSantis and complaining about Pushaw siccing “trolls” on him.

A couple of hours before the feud began Wednesday, the AP posted a “fact-check” of a tweet by critical race theory expert Christopher Rufo regarding the Justice Department’s move to stifle dissenting parents.

As noted by Rufo in the response posted below, the “fact-check” is dubious at best:

Given the timing, it’s believed that Pushaw’s original tweet was posted in response specifically to the AP’s “fact-check.”

In additional tweets, she later revealed that the folks at the AP were themselves so disturbed by her mild criticism that they direct messaged her a link to the media organization’s “About” page.

This prompted her to double down on her original criticism:

Like other establishment media outlets, the AP has a history of publishing dubious “fact-checks” that read more like Democrat Party propaganda.

The back-and-forth exchange Wednesday came as left-wing activists and even some left-wing media personalities continue to downplay the harassment of Democrat Sen. Sinema, who’s currently been deemed a “traitor” for refusing to abide by the party’s demands.
