Thanks to Vice President Kamala Harris’s latest hiring decision, yet another member of the Psaki family now works within the Biden administration.

The Washington Post reported Friday that of the two individuals recently hired by Harris as senior advisers, one of them, Adam Frankel, has familial ties to White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

“Frankel is married to Stephanie Psaki, a senior adviser at the Department of Health and Human Services and the sister of White House press secretary Jen Psaki,” according to the Post.

You read that correctly. Frankel’s own wife works within the administration. And she herself is the sister of the press secretary.

Three months after Stephanie Psaki’s appointment in March, the Post ran a lengthy piece documenting all the rank nepotism in the administration.

“[A]t least five children of [Biden’s] top aides have secured coveted jobs in the new administration. They include two sons and a daughter of the White House counselor, the daughter of a deputy White House chief of staff and the daughter of the director of presidential personnel,” the piece read.

“The pattern — which continued this week with the Treasury Department’s announcement that it was hiring J.J. Ricchetti, son of Biden counselor Steve Ricchetti — has drawn concerns from ethics experts, diversity advocates and others. They say it is disappointing that Biden didn’t shift even further from the practices of Donald Trump’s presidency, which they felt reeked of nepotism and cronyism.”

The piece also mentioned Psaki’s sister, prompting the press secretary to post an indignant Twitter screed claiming her sister had been hired solely because of merit:

At the time, Obama-era Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub cried foul.

“Nobody asked how your sibling got her degree, @jrpsaki. No one doubts she earned that degree. They asked why the administration isn’t concerned about the appearance of so many relatives of WH staff working in a govt that has outlawed nepotism. Is better than Trump good enough?” he wrote on Twitter.

The tweet has since been deleted, likely because it’d sparked severe backlash from the Biden administration’s army of adoring groupies.

Dovetailing back to the present, Harris’s hiring of Psaki’s brother-in-law has critics — sans Shaub, who’s gone radio silent — crying foul again.

Look:

Note what one Twitter critic wrote: “Surprised it wasn’t Hunter.”

Before he bent the knee out of apparent cowardice, Shaub used to rage on Twitter about the Biden administration’s stunning lack of ethics regarding President Joe Biden’s own son Hunter.

In July, the Post learned that White House officials had “helped craft an agreement” concerning the selling of Hunter’s so-called “artwork.”

The agreement was crafted in response to concerns that the selling of Hunter’s “artwork” could easily be exploited to conduct the sort of nefarious influence-peddling that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was notoriously accused of.

These concerns existed because people were bidding as much as $500,000 for the 51-year-old amateur artist’s work.

At the time, Psaki promised that “all interactions regarding the selling of art and the setting of prices will be handled by a professional gallerist, adhering to the highest industry standards. And any offer out of the normal course would be rejected out of hand.”

But Shaub wasn’t impressed.

Listen:

“She mentioned industry standards. It’s an industry that’s notorious for money laundering. There’s no standards in that industry,” he said on CNN at the time.

“And the idea that they’re going to flag any overly priced offers, well, this is art that hasn’t even been juried into a community art sale. How are they going to decide what’s unreasonable when they’ve already priced it in the range of $75,000 to $500,000 for a first outing? This is just preposterous and very disappointing.”

Yet judging by the Biden administration’s latest hire, rank nepotism and a lack of ethics is now par for the course.

This lack of ethics has reportedly also been seen in the administration’s incestuous relationship with unions. Two months ago, congressional Republicans sent a letter to the the Office of Management and Budget demanding to know why the president kept waiving federal ethics rules to hire former union officials.

It’s not clear whether an acceptable answer — let alone an answer at all — was ever provided.
