Politico is Pravda, now. Left-wing pub dubbed misinformation after they criticized Biden once

Biden supporters are furious over a Politico piece that criticized the administration’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, with one Democratic strategist calling for the left to “freeze them out” and labeling the media outlet a “rightwing propaganda organization.”

On Tuesday, Politico ran an article entitled,”‘The definition of gaslighting’: As chaos unfolds at Kabul airport, Biden team projects calm.” It immediately enraged the left over Politico’s reporters Lara Seligman, Alex Thompson, and Alexander Ward daring to call Biden out for his debacle in Afghanistan and simply reporting the truth and the facts on the ground.

Thompson tweeted, “NEW: The West Wing is looking increasingly disconnected from reality as the Biden White House strives to project a sense of calm competence — even as the Taliban tighten their grip on Afghanistan and chaos grips the airport.”

Leftist political strategist Tom Watson shot back on Twitter, “Politico is pure disinformation now. May as well by Sputnik.”

Another critic on Twitter remarked, “Politico is now Tass and Pravda. Apparatchik for TFG and GQP.”

But the grand prize for hating on Politico goes to Democratic strategist Kaivan Shroff. In a series of now-deleted tweets, he lambasted the media outlet, smearing them all over the place. He attacked their reporters and their former employees and called for the left to “freeze them out.”

“Democrats should stop speaking to POLITICO. Freeze them out. They are a rightwing propaganda organization and most of their alumni continue to do great damage to the field of journalism,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

His Twitter rant included a wide range of hating on conservatives and Politico.

Examples from evidently deleted tweets all posted on Aug. 24 include:

“How they covered racist birther Melania for 4 years…”
“Politico reporter making up a lie about Psaki screening questions…”
“Their star reporter (until recently) with this delusional thread…”
“Another one of their employees saying a White House staffer should be assaulted…”

He summed up his rant to an unidentified Politico reporter, stating, “I mean…all of these egregious examples are from the last year or so…I’d call that a pattern…but people can decide for themselves (not that you’re unbiased…since you literally have POLITICO listed in your bio lol).”

The Politico article bluntly reported how the Biden administration is living in an alternate reality these days, noting “The result is an administration that appears increasingly out of touch, as reports from Kabul continue to reflect a chaotic evacuation.”

“I don’t think the president’s rhetoric matches the conditions on the ground,” noted Jenna Ben-Yehuda in the piece. She is a 12-year veteran of the Bush and Obama State Department and president of the Truman Center, which is working to evacuate Afghan allies.

“They keep saying this was inevitable, but there absolutely was a way to avoid this — if that’s not the definition of gaslighting I don’t what is,” Chris Purdy told Politico. He is the project manager of the Veterans for American Ideals program at Human Rights First, which is also helping to evacuate people from Afghanistan.

Democrats seemed to take great offense to Politico reporting on what these people had to say. They also apparently have a problem with the fact that it is going to be virtually impossible to get everyone out of the Taliban stronghold by the August 31st deadline despite what Biden says.

Twitter had a field day with this Democratic strategist’s meltdown against Politico:
