Meghan Markle lectures ‘wokestock’ crowd about rich privilege in $4,500 dress, rocking est. $35K in jewelry

Meghan Markle, former royal princess, has a lot to say to the American peasants about wealth and hoarding at “wokestock” – in her clothes that cost more than many people make in a year.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, wife of Prince Harry, deigned to condescend to a crowd at Global Citizen Live at Central Park in New York City, popularly dubbed “wokestock,” about rich countries hoarding vaccines and the like, last Saturday.

To show her solidarity with the masses, Markle elected a $4,500 San Gallo Couture Mini Dress designed by Valentino, earrings alleged to be a $16,500 Cartier design, an allegedly $12,000 Cartier watch and a $6,900 Cartier ‘love’ bracelet, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The speech was delivered as a joint affair between her and Harry, saying “every single person on this planet has a fundamental right to get this vaccine. That’s the point, but that’s not happening. And while in this country and many others, you can go almost anywhere and get vaccinated, billions of people around the world cannot.”

“This year, the world is expected to produce enough doses to meet the target of vaccinating 70 percent of people in every single country, but it is wrong that so much of the vaccine supply has only gone to 10 wealthy nations so far and not everyone else. It’s just not okay,” Markle continued.

The Sussex’s children, two-year-old Archie and three-month-old Lilibet, did not put in an appearance, and were left at home in their $15.7 million mansion in Montecito, California.

The couple’s week in New York City has been eventful, featuring two trips to the United Nations to speak with the American ambassador to the U.N., Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who stated that her and the Sussex’s had “important discussions” about social justice, Covid-19 and mental health awareness.

The two had clearly made sure to thoroughly plan the entire trip’s outfit to feature multiple wardrobe changes in various power suits and designer dresses, frequently “updated each day to ensure we didn’t get the same shot twice,” reported the Daily Mail.

Her fans were clearly pleased:

The wardrobe changes were so frequent that one New York photographer is alleged to have quipped that the pair had “more wardrobe changes than a Broadway play,” according to the Daily Mail.

Some noted that while the pair have, at one point, spoken earnestly about their desire for privacy, the Sussex’s sure seem to love the (carefully choreographed and intensely fashion-conscious) spotlight. Each event was carefully presented to the press, with maximum wardrobe effort clearly in effect for the sake of good “optics,” even when the temperature was rather hot for a given outfit (heavy wool coats and the like, in temperatures of about 79 degrees Fahrenheit).

The “woke” tour was capped off with some nice photo ops with commoner children from underprivileged backgrounds, and the more important elites, before the couple retired back to their hotel while police escorts halted New York’s infamous traffic for their royal convenience.
