Nigel Farage says Brits were left aghast at Biden’s ‘utterly bizarre’ meeting, Boris Johnson was ‘stunned’

Nigel Farage, former Brexit Party Leader in the United Kingdom (UK), had some strong words about President Joe Biden’s talk with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The firebrand UK politician went on Fox & Friend First on Wednesday to discuss Biden’s meeting with Johnson, which has drawn criticism over Biden’s lack of questions taken from the press. So much so, in fact, that the White House press corps lodged a formal complaint with Press Secretary Jen Psaki:

When Biden finally felt compelled to take a few, he took only two questions from a few British reporters, slighting the American press corps and fueling their public annoyance.

Farage called the meeting between the two world leaders “utterly bizarre,” and spoke about the strange encounter:

“What a bizarre spectacle, to see two important world leaders muzzled behind the thickest face masks that could possibly ever been made. So much so it was actually quite difficult to hear anything anyone was saying. But that was the first thing that was utterly bizarre. And I think Boris Johnson and of course, you know, our culture as yours has always been, is that leaders are accountable to the press, from all sides and all opinions, who could ask questions. And I think Boris was completely stunned that the new culture in America, who was supposed to be the leaders of the free world, is that the president doesn’t take questions.”

Johnson didn’t seem to be afraid of the media, and tried to initiate a question and answer time with reporters, which Farage also commented on:

“So Boris decided to sort of in an impromptu way, try and take a few questions and the White House press team didn’t like it and protested. And so we’re sort of asking ourselves a question here in the UK this morning. If Joe Biden doesn’t take questions from journalists and therefore isn’t accountable for what he’s doing as leader of America or leader of the free world, we have to ask ourselves a question. Is he actually fit and proper and competent to be doing the job? ”

Farage’s comments of course echo many Republican views on Biden, but the liberal media seems to be cooling on the president as well. The formal complaint is just one incident in a string of signs that the usually Democrat-friendly media is beginning to turn on him.

After the botched airstrike that killed 10 people in Afghanistan, 7 of whom were children, the media didn’t come to his defense with the usual mental gymnastics. Instead, even CNN grilled the administration for the strike, complaining that this was not some “mistake.”

There’s signs that the honeymoon may be over at NBC as well, with host Chuck Todd bluntly stating that Biden now has a “credibility crisis on his hands.” Stephanie Rhule at MSNBC has also spoke in less than glowing terms about Vice President Kamela Harris’ total lack of activity on the border crisis, despite being named as Biden’s “border czar.”

After a series of public gaffes, the view has been spreading that Biden is carefully managed by his handlers. Reports have come out that staffers turn off the TV when he comes on, fearful he’ll go off a carefully prepared script and embarrass them all. That is, of course, when they’re not busy cutting Biden himself off at his own press conferences.
