Masks not allowed: Attack dogs called against owner of Texas eatery over firm ‘no-mask policy’

A restaurant owner in Texas is taking heat for his strict no-mask policy after the media seized on the story of the parents of a newborn with cystic fibrosis.

Natalie Wester and her husband Jose went out with some friends recently to Hang Time, a bar and restaurant in Rowlett, just north of Dallas.

Both parents are fully vaccinated, but made the decision to wear masks while out to protect their immunocompromised four-month-old son, CBS DFW reported. But the decision resulted in staff at the establishment informing them they had to take off the masks.

Natalie said, “Our waitress came over, sat down next to me and said, ‘Our manager told me to come over because I am nicer than he is… But this is political and I need you to take your masks off.’”

She told the CBS affiliate they tried to explain that their son is immunocompromised, only to be told if they had a problem with the no-mask policy they could leave, which is what they did.

The owner of Hang Time, identified as Tom, was offering no apologies for the policy, telling CBS DFW that his establishment is a private business and he has every right to refuse service to those who want to wear their mask, which he considers as part of the dress code.

“I have spent my money on the business, my blood sweat and tears in this business, and I don’t want masks in here,” Tom proclaimed.

“I feel the overall reaction with masks is ridiculous in the United States right now,” he added.

The science behind the wearing of masks is spotty at best when it comes to mitigating COVID-19. Particularly for loose-fitting cloth masks that many people wear in public.

There are reportedly no signs in the restaurant declaring that masks are not welcome. Instead, hostesses tell those wearing masks that they must take them off at the door.

“So when they put their masks on the other night,” Tom said, “they were reminded that at the front to take it off. They didn’t want to, and so we asked them to leave.”

He told the affiliate that he was unaware of the health issues Wester’s son was dealing with, but firmly stands by the no-mask policy and will continue to enforce it.

Left-wing zealot and all-around simpleton Keith Olbermann responded to the story by doxxing the owner online, calling out the liberal dogs to make “Maskhole Tom better known.”

Overall, social media was less excited about the matter, as seen here:
