After the 2020 election, it’s not a stretch to say that millions of Americans have real concerns about the integrity of our elections, even though the liberal media and Big Tech’s fact-checkers are quick to note that there’s no evidence of widespread fraud.
At the same time, it’s only common sense to suspect that where there’s smoke, you are likely to find fire.
Looking past the record 81 million votes now-President Joe Biden received in 2020 — 12 million more than Barack Obama received as the first black president — there are incidents like what just occurred in California ahead of the recall election for Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Police in Torrance, a city in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, are “investigating the discovery of hundreds of recall election ballots in a vehicle where a felon was found passed out with drugs, a loaded firearm and multiple driver’s licenses one week ago,” KTLA reported, citing local authorities.
The Torrance Police Department shared the details of the troubling incident on its official Facebook page on August 17, but didn’t identify the mail as ballots.
“Last night, officers responded to a male subject passed out in a vehicle in the 7-11 parking lot,” the post stated. “Officers learned he was a felon & located Xanax pills on him. Officers continued their investigation and discovered a loaded firearm, methamphetamine, thousands of pieces of mail, a scale & multiple CA drivers licenses and credit cards in other individuals’ names.”
“The suspect was arrested for numerous weapons, narcotics & forgery charges,” the TPD added.
The update above was shared online Monday discussing the ensuing investigation of the stolen ballots.
“Regarding the arrest that was made 8/16/2021 in which over 300 election ballots were recovered from the suspect’s vehicle. This case is currently being investigated by our Special Investigations Division in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service and the LA County District Attorney Public Integrity Unit.” the TPD noted. “Investigators are trying to figure out how the election ballots ended up in the suspect’s vehicle and what their intent was in having them. In the meantime, those who were identified through this investigation will be receiving a new election ballot.”
“This incident is not tied to any additional thefts of election ballots,” the entry said in conclusion.
It’s not clear how the TPD could make such a determination so quickly.
RedState managing editor Jennifer Van Laar tweeted about the incident several days ago and noted that this was in the district of firebrand U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif.

Last week, comedian Adam Carolla, host of “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast, shared a video making the rounds of two women appearing to be stealing ballots.
Carolla tweeted: “[Two] women with a post office master key are caught on camera stealing what appears to be California recall election ballots at an apartment complex in Valley Village. Are they just targeting ballots or stealing all mail. What are your thoughts?”

The specific details of the incident seen here are not clear.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from skeptical social media users:

With the likes of @tedlieu, this is the only way the Dems retain the governors office. @larryelder will make the lives of all Californians better, and their future will have at least a chance. Time to rid our states of the likes of ted lieu, Newsom, Pelosi etc..
