Even with former President Donald Trump out of office now for over 200 days, Trump Derangement Syndrome continues to feed and grow in leftists’ hearts like mold.

A particularly shocking example of this disease’s ongoing impact played out at a Martha’s Vineyard convenience store this week when left-wing Hollywood powerhouse Larry David ran into renowned legal scholar Alan Dershowitz.

According to Page Six, the two used to be good friends. But not anymore.

Sources who spoke with the tabloid outlet claimed that when the two ran into each other, Dershowitz tried speaking with David but was rebuffed. Why? Because Dershowitz had committed the grave sin of treating former President Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo like human beings.

Here’s how the altercation played out, according to Page Six:

Dershowitz: “We can still talk, Larry.”

David: “No. No. We really can’t. I saw you. I saw you with your arm around Pompeo! It’s disgusting!”

Dershowitz: “He’s my former student [at Harvard Law]. I greet all of my former students that way. I can’t greet my former students?”

David: “It’s disgusting. Your whole enclave — it’s disgusting. You’re disgusting!”

David then began walking away, prompting a frustrated Dershowitz to rip off his t-shirt to unveil another t-shirt underneath it that reportedly read “It’s The Constitution Stupid!”

Dershowitz eventually “drove off in an old, dirty Volvo,” according to Page Six’s sources.

Speaking with the outlet, Dershowitz later confirmed that all this really happened.

“He told us that he’d greeted David at the store, but that the comic had walked away from him — which is when he said, ‘We can still talk, Larry’ and our spy picked up the dialogue. Dershowitz told us that, while it might sound on paper like an awkward scene from ‘Curb,’ ‘it wasn’t funny at all,'” Page Six reported.

Dershowitz claimed David “screamed” and “yelled” at him so much that his face turned bright red, prompting the famed attorney to worry “he was going to have a stroke.”

He suggested David believes he was a Trump administration sycophant. But according to him, that’s not the case at all. He claimed he was simply an admirer of Pompeo’s work in the Middle East.

“In fact, he says, he worked with Pompeo on his department’s policy regarding Israel and Palestine and has been invited to the White House by both the Trump administration and the Israeli government to celebrate it,” Page Six reported.

“And he said he’s disappointed that David can’t understand why he’d work with any administration on peace for Israel, regardless of who was occupying the Oval Office,” the outlet added.

Dershowitz is a Jew, so the fate of Israel matters to him. Granted, David is also a Jew, though, unlike the famed attorney, it’s not clear what he’s done to improve life for the Israeli people.

“While he was writing bad jokes, I was helping to bring about peace in the Middle East. What has he done?” Dershowitz angrily said to Page Six.

The same thing as every other leftist, which is complain incessantly about Donald Trump and everybody linked to him, including Dershowitz.

Here’s another example:

On Jan. 24th of 2020, Pompeo tried sitting with NPR for an interview ostensibly about Iran but wound up instead being harangued over the administration’s Ukraine policy. He wound up walking off.

Afterward, the interviewer, Mary Louise Kelly, complained publicly that he’d yelled at her, used the f-word expletive and demanded she prove she can find Ukraine on a map.

During a White House press briefing four days later, the president praised Pompeo for how he’d handled Kelly, prompting laughter from members of the audience, including Pompeo and Dershowitz.

“That’s impressive. That was very impressive. That reporter couldn’t have done too good a job on you yesterday. I think you did a good job on her, actually,” the president said.

As the audience erupted in laughter, Dershowitz briefly patted Pompeo on the back. But by doing so, he inadvertently triggered a scandal made for CNN:

It’s presumed David watches CNN …

“Larry is a knee-jerk radical. He takes his politics from Hollywood. He doesn’t read a lot. He doesn’t think a lot. It’s typical of what happens now on the Vineyard. People won’t talk to each other if they don’t agree with their politics,” Dershowitz told Page Six.

Dershowitz has faced years of ostracization at Martha’s Vineyard, and not just for his relationship with Pompeo, but also for his ties to the Trump administration.

When Trump was impeached in 2019 on the dubious charges of “abuse of power” and “obstruction of justice” over allegations he’d tried to blackmail Ukraine into helping him screw over then-Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, Dershowitz vociferously defended him in the subsequent Senate trial on constitutional grounds.

He essentially argued the charges were unconstitutional.

Watch:

For this, he was made into a permanent pariah by the left, including David.

“That’s the price of principle,” he said to Page Six.

Principles, incidentally, are something members of the left tend to lack in spades
