Terrible scenes of sheer desperation have emerged from Afghanistan as people try to save themselves from the terrible future that awaits following the Taliban takeover of the war-torn country as a result of the Biden administration’s historic foreign policy blunder.
The rushed evacuation of Americans from Kabul as the Taliban moved into the capital city resulted in the swarming of Hamid Karzai International Airport by Afghans who fear being subjugated or murdered by the Islamist extremists who are now calling the shots, it was reminiscent of the fall of Saigon, a comparison that the administration badly wants to avoid.
With space on the outgoing planes severely limited and time running out, some who are trying to flee have even tried to hold on to the departing jets, in a horrific video that is lighting up social media, two people are reported to have fallen to their deaths while clinging to a departing military aircraft.

The speed with which the Taliban advanced caught many completely off guard, especially the White House which led to such embarrassing optics for a regime obsessed with narrative as the U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan Ross Wilson took down the flag and fled to the airport on Saturday, abandoning the embassy to the Islamist radicals who now control more of the country than when they were ousted from power in 2001.
The top US diplomat in Afghanistan, Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson, has fled the embassy.
He has been relocated to Kabul airport, according to a US official.

The State Department confirmed the abandonment of the embassy.
“We can confirm that the safe evacuation of all Embassy personnel is now complete. All Embassy personnel are located on the premises of Hamid Karzai International Airport, whose perimeter is secured by the US Military,’ said spokesman Ned Price in a statement.
More negative optics for the image-conscious Biden administration were provided when a triumphant and gloating Taliban took over the presidential palace, after President Ashraf Ghani fled the country, where they held a press conference with one victorious commander spiking the ball, saying that he had been confined at the terrorist detention facility at Guantanamo Bay for eight years before returning to assist with the birth of the new Islamic state.

The Taliban wasted no time in dousing the hopes of those who are trying to escape, “Our policy is that no one should leave the country’ said spokesman Suhail Shaheen in a statement to the BBC. “We need all Afghans to stay.”
The reality on the ground is a stark contrast to the situation that Biden sought to portray when last month he confidently insisted that a Taliban takeover was not inevitable.

Biden remains in hiding or perhaps he is cowering in shame after he became the president who lost Afghanistan and put the terrorists back in charge.
