The White House reportedly released a set of talking points ahead of President Biden’s upcoming speech addressing the debacle in Afghanistan. A handful of “friendly” publications have obtained the document.
The points are being torn to shreds on social media for factual errors and misleading information.
You can find the 2-page document below in a tweet by Washington Post columnist and CNN analyst Josh Rogin, in which he says “They are not good.”

There was quick reaction on Twitter as some pointed out the “many factual errors” contained in the document.
Many factual errors here. Others have pointed out that we do in fact have roughly 900 troops in Syria. But also, the troops from the 82nd airborne deployed to Kabul directly from Fort Bragg – they were *not* already prepositioned in the region. https://t.co/M63gkSHhp8

America First means demanding our allies pay their fair share and meet their obligations.
Why does the Biden White House talking points dismiss the Trump/NATO agreement to have 5,000 @nato troops along side the 2,500 American troops? https://t.co/EODDjNNTL1

Others noted the need for transparency and a reminder of how President Joe Biden just a few weeks back had downplayed the probability of the current catastrophe.
The idea that the White House and Pelosi can use spin to make this disastrous withdrawal seem like something other than what it is folly.
They would be be much better to be frank and deal with the consequences.

Nancy Pelosi is circulating Democrat talking points on Afghanistan in preparation for Biden’s speech that say “we knew this could happen” regarding the take-over of Kabul.
But they did it anyway.
And that’s the atrocity.

Which of their contingencies included young men clinging to USAF C17s and falling to their deaths on take off?
This is what Biden’s planning looks like?
If this disaster had occurred under Trump can you imagine the coverage? The DNC would already be calling for impeachment

the fact that this was written, went through edits, and then approved for dissemination is a disgrace.
