Despite his campaign vow to restore transparency if he was elected, President Joe Biden isn’t about to reveal the names of those he has met with during numerous trips to his residences in Delaware, yet another broken promise to the American people.
The administration rejected the idea that the public has the right to know about people who have been guests of the POTUS at his main home in Wilmington and his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach; Biden has made 17 trips to Delaware in six months with two more expected to come next week.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that Biden’s visitor logs were off-limits during an exchange with a reporter during Wednesday’s press briefing.
“The president’s been to Delaware 17 times, it’s soon going to be 18 and 19 times over the last six months, I want to know how visits from visitors and from family members with potential conflicts of interest are being treated for the purpose of White House visitor logs disclosure,” asked Steven Nelson of the New York Post, also inquiring about Biden’s son Hunter and his controversial art sales.

“I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the president’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware,” Psaki said while avoiding any real answer to the question on the younger Biden, a man whose drug-fueled sexual exploits and shady business dealings continue to be a thorn in his father’s side.
Hunter Biden’s foray into the art world with sales of his paintings to anonymous buyers for up to $500,000 has raised questions and brought criticism from some who suggest that those paying such exorbitant sums for amateur artwork were doing so with the expectation of gaining favor with his father; one critic is Walter Shaub who headed up the Office Of Government Ethics during the Obama administration.

In May, the Biden administration touted its transparency in an announcement that it would be releasing White House visitor logs to the public; “These logs give the public a look into the visitors entering and exiting the White House campus for appointments, tours, and official business — making good on President Biden’s commitment to restore integrity, transparency, and trust in government,” although there were several exceptions.
That Biden isn’t similarly making public any information of his time spent in Delaware drew harsh criticism from Tom Fitton of the anti-corruption watchdog Judicial Watch.
“It’s an easy way to bypass the alleged transparency they’re promising,” he told the New York Post. “If they’re going to take the position that this information should be public, what are they hiding when it comes to visiting his home? The presidency doesn’t stop when he’s visiting Delaware,”
“He is presumably doing work. So the public has an interest in knowing who is visiting him there. Is Hunter visiting him?” Fitton added.
Just as his promise to be a leader who would practice “unity” by governing for all Americans, Biden’s claim that he would “restore transparency and trust in government” has proven to be a bunch of malarkey.
