Transgender Caitlyn Jenner said Saturday evening that she “would support” Donald Trump if the former president runs for election in 2024.
In an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” Jenner was asked by host Jeanine Pirro whether Trump should run again and if she’d support him if he did.
The Republican California gubernatorial candidate said it’s Trump’s call on whether he should run.
“If I was governor of the state of California, obviously I would support him,” Jenner said.
“What if you weren’t governor? Would you still support him?” Pirro followed up.
“Yes. I still would support him,” Jenner replied. “I don’t like what’s happening in this country right now.”

Earlier in the interview, Jenner criticized liberal Democrats in San Francisco for a leniency on crime that has prompted some major retailers to close stores or cut back on hours.
“San Francisco made it legal to steal. Bottom line,” Jenner said. “That cannot happen. It’s a crime to steal, on a state level we have to continue to enforce that. We have to get tough on crime. We’ve seen over the last few years how, not just in California, but all across the country, how politicians are enforcing one law, and ignoring the next one. That cannot be. We have to follow the law.”
She also told Pirro she’s “not like a lot of Republicans.”
“I’m an inclusive Republican,” Jenner said. “I’m in it for the people. I’m inclusive to all people.”
Jenner has taken some heat for appearing on “Celebrity Big Brother” in Australia, as some critics downplay the seriousness of her campaign.
Taking to Twitter, Jenner said, “I have not paused my campaign at all. I am preparing to launch a multi-week bus tour across CA.”
“I am honoring a work commitment that I had made prior to even deciding to run for governor. There is no pause at all on this race to save CA!” she added in another post.

In a statement shared in April, Jenner explained why she was running to oust Gov. Gavin Newsom.
“Californians want better and deserve better from their governor. For too long, career politicians have overpromised and underdelivered. We need a leader with a vision and the resolve to see it through,” she said. “This will be a campaign of solutions, providing a roadmap back to prosperity to turn this state around and finally clean up the damage Newsom has done to this state.”
As for Trump, Jenner is trying to grab onto his populist vibe, billing herself as an outsider.
“I’m not your average Republican,” Jenner said, during an appearance on “The View.”
Asked by the liberal hosts on the show whether Trump won the election, Jenner said, “I am not going to get into that. That election is over with. I think that Donald Trump did do some good things. What I liked about Donald Trump was that he was a disrupter.”
“He was a disrupter when he was president. I want to do the same thing. I want to go in and be a thoughtful disrupter in Sacramento. We need to change the system. I want to change that system for the positive. I’m in it for the people,” she added.
Jenner had previously told CNN that President Biden was “duly elected.”
“He’s our president. I respect that,” she said, adding “There’s a lot of frustration over that election.”
